What are you playing?
Re: What are you playing?
^I've had Princess Crown and Odin Sphere for a while, and just have never gotten around to them. I played Muramasa a few years ago, and that game is just excellent. Visually fantastic, but also challenging, and fun, with some weapon hoarding/collect-a-thoning for good measure. Definitely recommended for when you finish Odin Sphere.

Re: What are you playing?
Going to simulate the Super Bowl today, playing as the 49's on Madden 09.
What? I'm not paying $50 for the 2012 version.

Re: What are you playing?
Bah, I don't even have 09. 08 was the last Madden game I bought (and the only one I ever bought). I figured it was "good enough" for me, bought it new, and haven't felt the need to update since.Luke wrote:Going to simulate the Super Bowl today, playing as the 49's on Madden 09.

Re: What are you playing?
My wife asked "Why not play your favorite Madden ('94)?". I t responded,"unfortunately the same reason I'm not playing Tecmo Bowl...No Ravens".o.pwuaioc wrote: Bah, I don't even have 09. 08 was the last Madden game I bought (and the only one I ever bought). Got to level 21 with Moredecai....only to see the save get corrupted.
Now I'm playing as Brick (and seem to be dying a lot less).

I saw it, and left a comment. I'll repost it here:o.pwuaioc wrote:Hey, I asked over at backloggery, but I'll ask here, too:

I played a bit more of it today, and so far it's very good on the Gamecube. I heard it was a bit short, but that is only if you play through the main story. They throw enough side missions at you doing various jobs to increase your stats to pad out the experience a bit more, plus it's real necessary to get the stats and money to buy better weapon enhancements. Plus, there is a big area between 2 of the early cities that give you opportunities to mine gold, hunt with a bow and arrow, and more. The areas themselves are HUGE and there's plenty to do. Really good game if you can find it cheap.
I honestly think there are no differences in ports here. Games I've been playing like Splinter Cell have been missing cutscenes on the GC, as well as redesigned levels, but this game is big in scope and I think this port definitely captures the overall feel of it. Plus, it's pretty cheap too. I'd go for the GC.
