That's not quite what the thread is about, but hey, we all know you can derail it down that road if you want.

OP:

When do you think Sega was at it's most creative? Pre Genesis Era, Genesis, Era, Saturn Era, Dreamcast Era.
Modern Sega bashing - check
No option for "post Dreamcast era" as creative - check

Seems like the same old shit to me.

Dave: Except that it's not "good" (despite my little joke of a picture), but rather "creative". It's not about how good they are, but about how creative they are. lrn2read.

Also, I'm sure the OP won't mind you arguing why you think Sega developers are more creative now than ever.

yes, I'd love to hear about how Shenmue with Japanese Thugs is the most creative Sega has ever been.

I don't know that I personally think Sega is more creative now than ever (I think their peak was likely their early-mid 90s Arcade games), but I do think that not even suggesting the option in the OP smacks of "modern Sega sucks" syndrome.

Also, I found Shenmue to be one of the worst Sega games I have ever played.

Agreed on all fronts.

For me it would have to be late-Genesis to Saturn eras. Lots of cool stuff in there.
