Gotta second the Pen-pen rec. It's really kitsch, but it's pretty fun, especially if you can actually sit some other people down to play with you. Almost guaranteed that half of them will hate it, while the other half with love it.
I still have the announcer's voice firmly lodged in my brain, to this day. (MR. BAOWNS!!)

Super R-Type and Super Probotector (Contra 3) for $12 each from cashiies, labels are a little rough, but a lot of fun to be had for $12 each.

I had two $10-off coupons, one for Staples and one for Gamestop. With the Staples card I got Amnesia: The Dark Descent for free, and at Gamestop I bought Silent Hill 3 for $10.

2013 will probably be more of slimming down what I'll never play again, and playing through what I already have. I am okay with that though. 8)

I'll note that if you're looking to get some cheap new games, Toys 'R' Us is having a Buy one, get one 40% off if you're buying games 19.99 and below. Snagged a copy of it for a friend's birthday, and picked one up for me too.
