psp vs andriod phone

Post by env963 »

I just got my first smart phone about 2 weeks ago. At first I thought, sweet I can get games for $.99 when it costs 5 - 10 bux on my PSP. But now I am not so sure. Game crashes and app updates? I am thinking my PSP isn't quite obsolete. I found a few gems but sometimes the games crash. Plus a real dpad is so much nicer. Thoughts anyone.

One of the gems I found if your a tempest 2000 fan is cyclone 2000. It is basically a copy of that game. I would like to get ikaruga but $9? I'd be pissed if I buy that and the game crashes. Btw this site looks nice on my HTC EVO.

Thought about that. I have to much money vested in my PSP. Maybe get a new one to hack.

This, nothing beats a dedicated game-pad, if i had a smart phone, id get a Sony Xperia Play with the slide-down game pad.

Phones just can't replace dedicated portables. And there's one very good reason.

CONTROLS.

Even though you can run an N64 game on your phone, good luck getting it to play well with only a touch screen.

Oh yeah, good luck finding good games that are 1 button gimmicks too. There's a lot there if you want to pass 3 or 4 minutes with something like Angry Birds if that's your thing.

the phone I have now is multi touch....but yeah.. a dpad is the way to go. But let's be honey. I would love a vita. But I'm not going to spent $250 plus $100 for a 32gb card. Than $30 - $40 games.
