Water?
That's running 24/7 right now, to prevent pipe freezes.

Watching TV, I think jewelry stores LOVE this time of year. From the holidays through to Valentine's Day, you see the same 5 ads for Kay, Jared, Zales, whatever. The thing is, for the past few weeks, it felt like a short break, and then "didn't I just see this before?"

Jewelry stores make most of their money around Christmas, but I'm sure they like Valentines Day too.

It's a seasonal business, but I don't know of many jewelers who go out of business.

I bought my wife's engagement ring from a company named Bailey's Jewelry. You get your own "consultant", they offer you food and drink (including wine and beer) and treat you like royalty. Now this raised a few red flags, as this pampering has to be included in overhead costs, but I go for quality over quantity and they had the diamond that was perfect for my soon to be wife.

Negotiating with a jeweler is like negotiating with a refrigerator; it is pointless and if it budges something is up. With all that in mind, I would highly recommend Bailey's if you live in the South. I had the ring and diamond appraised, and it's already gained $3k in value, plus they send me $100 gift certificates every Christmas. Not "spend $100 get $100 free", simply a free $100 to use at their stores.

Back off topic:

It was just brought to my attention that I don't own a wave bird. Shame I feel.

I've been playing a lot of "The Crube" lately and I have no idea why I have never bought one of my favorite controllers ever. Not because it is wireless, it's just a sweet controller.

I've never liked the Wavebird much. My friend had one and all I remember is it being heavy, and lacking rumble. I loves me some rumble.

GCN controller cords are far too short though. Probably the only thing that has ever bothered me about the console's design. Controller extensions ftfw.
