You are correct - it'll probably be called "Sea of Trees" in the States, which is too bad... Foliage Ocean is much better. 8)

Anyway, I haven't really paid too much attention to this game since the info first started to get leaked. I'm just... kinda weary of Ys games with party systems now. Really hoping this doesn't become the new standard for the series.
True, but the PS2 game is a remake, not an original Ys IV. Now it seems like there are indeed three original Ys IV games... Though it doesn't seem like they're actually going to end up sticking a "IV" into the official title of this one - I guess we're just supposed to know it's the fourth game in the canon.

And yeah, I wasn't totally thrilled with the party system in Ys Seven. My main issue was that most of the characters were almost exactly the same, but you still had to spend time leveling them up as they constantly rotated in and out (plus you needed all of them for the final dungeon).

I miss the days of just Adol. It does look like we'll see the party system again here - on the plus side the character designs are awesome.

I agree on your points with the party system in Seven. In general, I prefer RPGs with as few party members as possible, so I don't have to worry about switching them out and needing to level them up, so I found Ys Seven to be a bit of a nightmare in that regard. I also didn't like how they felt so redundant because they all fell into one of three attack types, and then it became even more noticeable after Adol gains the ability to switch his attack type. It really just reinforces the notion that they only had all of those party members to fit with the title, Ys Seven.

Like I said though, I've barely kept up with any of the info on this game for a while now, so maybe they've at least fixed all of theses little issues from Ys Seven. I mean hey, looking at the official site it seems they've dropped the amount of party members from seven... to six.

Hmm my preference of rpgs with a party system is why it took me so long to get into the Ys series. Though, it seems that a single character system goes better with ys battle system.

I don't know. Xseed I guess? The article doesn't say.

I've never known siliconera to post anything false.

I would just be bummed if it didn't happen that's all. Looking forward to this a lot!

Well, we've gotten all the other Ys titles (on one of the most pirated platforms at that!). I wouldn't be worried.

This game looks really fun, too!
