So, I'm going for loose NTSC-U NES carts. I've been trying to think of a cool subset to go for, just to give me an attainable goal.
I love collecting NES carts, and a few sub-sets are:
* the "pixel art" Nintendo games (i.e., Balloon Fight, Duck Hunt, etc.);
* the "silver label" Konami games (i.e., Contra, Jackal, Super C, etc.);
* the "Captain Commando" Capcom games (i.e., Gun.Smoke, Mega Man, Trojan, etc.);
* the "purple label" Capcom games (i.e., DuckTales, Little Nemo, Mega Man 2-6, etc.);
* licensed Tengen carts (i.e., Gauntlet, RBI Baseball, etc.);
* unlicensed Tengen carts (i.e., Gauntlet, RbI Baseball, Rolling Thunder, Shinobi, etc.).
There are lot of other sub-sets that are fun to collect, but I think that these sets will ensure that you have some of the best games on the system. In addition, while Stack Up (NES) will drive up the cost of the "pixel art" set and DuckTales 2 (NES), Rescue Rangers 2 (NES), and Snow Brothers (NES) will drive up the price of the "purple label" Capcom set, the rest of the games in each of these sets are relatively inexpensive.
