Terrible storm came through last night, funnel hit just north of us and destroyed a couple houses. My house was fine, just lost a twig tree and our flag pole. Twig tree will be dragged to the back of the house tonight, flagpole will lay there until I get a long break in the rain and can run the sabre saw out there. Right now its just raining like the dickens. A guy on my drive to work had the roof of his house pulled off like a tin can, and another lost half of his house, so we got lucky.

Geez that sucks. Stupid stupid weather in general going on. I finally got my car back yesterday (mostly done) and today the wind is doing the same stupid back and forth between calm and gusting like a MF like it was before Christmas that blew the car on my tree in the first place.

Sick peoples stop being sick!

Thanks duder! I may go to urgent care later today. I'm a bit weird when it comes to doctor's and medicines though. I'm no hippie by any stretch but I prefer to "ride out" sickness when possible and use natural cures that almost barely work (horseradish to clear your sinuses). I have a great Internest, but I don't trust most doctors, nor do I like their business (not the surgeons who save lives, the guys who are middlemen for pharm companies).


I'm miserable enough that I can still post, but still miserable.

Hmm. With PRINCESS, you can watch with childhood whimsy. With LOTR I guess you can watch it while dressed up as a wizard with friends who point out everything that was or wasn't in the novels.

I hated Princess Bride as a kid. I thought it was boring and weird. Much better as a teen IMO.

And unless you had read the books before, I don't see how you could watch LOTR drifting in and out of consciousness and understand what the heck is going on.

Yeah maybe ... thing is breastfeeding infants are immune to this sort of thing as they get the immunity from momma ... guess we're just lucky?
