Geez that sucks. Stupid stupid weather in general going on. I finally got my car back yesterday (mostly done) and today the wind is doing the same stupid back and forth between calm and gusting like a MF like it was before Christmas that blew the car on my tree in the first place.fastbilly1 wrote:Terrible storm came through last night, funnel hit just north of us and destroyed a couple houses. My house was fine, just lost a twig tree and our flag pole. Twig tree will be dragged to the back of the house tonight, flagpole will lay there until I get a long break in the rain and can run the sabre saw out there. Right now its just raining like the dickens. A guy on my drive to work had the roof of his house pulled off like a tin can, and another lost half of his house, so we got lucky.

Are either watchable any other way?Luke wrote:Smile: The Princess Bride is a great movie to watch when falling in and out of sleep. That and the LOTR trilogy.

Thanks duder! I may go to urgent care later today. I'm a bit weird when it comes to doctor's and medicines though. I'm no hippie by any stretch but I prefer to "ride out" sickness when possible and use natural cures that almost barely work (horseradish to clear your sinuses). I have a great Internest, but I don't trust most doctors, nor do I like their business (not the surgeons who save lives, the guys who are middlemen for pharm companies).Blu wrote:Feel better, Luke. I'm miserable enough that I can still post, but still miserable.

Hmm. With PRINCESS, you can watch with childhood whimsy. With LOTR I guess you can watch it while dressed up as a wizard with friends who point out everything that was or wasn't in the novels.pierrot wrote:Are either watchable any other way?Luke wrote:Smile: The Princess Bride is a great movie to watch when falling in and out of sleep. I hated Princess Bride as a kid. I thought it was boring and weird. Much better as a teen IMO.Luke wrote:Hmm. With PRINCESS, you can watch with childhood whimsy. And unless you had read the books before, I don't see how you could watch LOTR drifting in and out of consciousness and understand what the heck is going on.

Frown: Same boat as Luke, except for it's the whole family!
Double Frown: One of the members of said family that is sick is only 7 weeks old...poor thing.

Hope you don't need to make that trip to the ICU, Luke. I don't know if you know this, but there're sick people everywhere over there.
Sounds like members be needing some echinacea, or st johns wort (or a big fat placebo). Or a bunch of Vitamin C pills.
