Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

So who is picking this up next month? The demo was just released a couple of days ago and was wondering what everybody's impressions of it were? I thought it was pretty solid, but the camera got pretty irritating at times.

Was completely disinterested at first, but I played the demo was a lot of fun, so I plan to pick it up.

I didn't realize Platinum Games was behind this one, which was interesting. I figured Kojima would really be invested, like most games bearing the Metal Gear franchise. I wonder how involved he is with this one...

I'll pick it up though. Raiden redeemed himself in MGS4. Better than the melodrama I saw in MGS2.

Kojima is involved. They were working on this themselves when things weren't going too well, so they brought in Platinum.

Kamiya and Kojima are a good pairing.

I played this a PAX Prime in Seattle and thought it was decent. The precision cutting mechanic was cool but honestly a little tiring after a while. It's not a must have but I'll get this this game once it comes down in price for sure.

Some people have said the demo sucked.. I understand this is basically a beat em up, but it looks pretty fun to me.. I will purchase and may even preorder the SE...

I honestly think he just kind of gave them the "nod" and that's it, kind of like Lords of Shadow. Though he probably had a little more input here, but Kojima's clearly been busy with other projects like the Fox Engine, Ground Zeroes, etc. Supposedly he wanted Gray Fox to be the main in this (which would have been odd how that would tie in somewhere), but yeah he gave Platinum the reigns to do whatever for the most part. I think bruno told me Platinum even revamped the engine for this and rebuilt most of the game once they took over.

The demo was off the chain. This is the reason I won't even bother with DmC, definitely getting this. I didn't like Bayonetta at all, but this seems way better with less jr high potty humor, haha... Bayonetta was beyond "so bad it's good" for me, it was just straight up stupid and got annoying.

I definitely can't believe how good this looks and how consistent the framerate stays as well.

Is there a demo out now? Or was this mainly at booths at Expos?

And those who bought the LE of the Zone of the Enders HD Collection got it months ago on-disc. *smug smile*
