Thread title is about Rare/Valuable Wii Games. Neither of these games is either of those things.
This isn't a thread about Wii games that we think are good...
Too early to start talking about rare/valuable Wii games?

"now seems to be a good time to start talking about the games on the original Wii that will be worth collecting down the road. Since I imagine the official Racketboy thread for this particular topic is still years away, what games do you guys think are worth picking up now that will be rare and valuable later?"
I believe Mad world will be rare down the line, likewise as I stated above 10 years down the line I believe Sonic colors will also be worth collecting because of their quality and execution. FYI, you don't need to talk about it if it bothers you to.

Not unless "Microwaved Mad World Drink Coasters" become a fad in the future. People make the mistake of uttering that phrase all the time. Unless copies are destroyed, they won't "become rare" in the future. Some games are popular and aren't sold as often, but just because people are hoarding them there aren't really 100 copies in the entire world anymore.TheVisualante wrote: I believe Mad world will be rare down the line, l

Re: Too early to start talking about rare/valuable Wii games
To reiterate what ds was saying, this isn't a thread about what is/will be worth collecting on the Wii. To put it another way: "What Wii games should you buy right this minute if you see it for a decent price, because it's going to sky rocket in value, or be almost impossible to find locally in a collectible condition."TheVisualante wrote:I believe Sonic colors will also be worth collecting because of their quality and execution.
Sonic Colors is not one of those titles. Mario games are generally nowhere near rare either, but they have Mario in them, and as such they command a lot of recognition from both buyers and sellers. So yes, Super Smash Brothers will most likely hold at least the $40 mark down the road. However, there are only three Sonic titles that I can think of that you'd have to pay more than twenty dollars to get complete, and two of them are imports. Sorry to be so curt, but Sonic Colors: Not going anywhere in price.

Sonic games tend to be more valuable in Japanese. They get gigantic system-selling US print runs for the most part.

Well if we are talking monetary value strictly:
I think definitely The Legend of Zelda:Skyward sword will be worth something, especially if you have a new or limited edition version.
Also The legend of Zelda: Twilight princess, although not as much as skyward sword, it will go for a couple of valuable bucks
Rarity wise, Batman: the brave and the bold. It only goes for maybe 9 or so bucks right now, but I struggle to find it easily available on the store shelves. But I am hesitant to say it will be worth something in the future, what do you think?
Okami, for sure will be worth something as well.
Now if you have Xenoblade Chronicles sealed.....you'll make a lot of friends easily!

Zelda games almost never become rare. Considering Skyward Sword sold around 2 million copies, and Twilight Princess 3.5 Million.TheVisualante wrote:Well if we are talking monetary value strictly:

Just because a game is worth a bit of money doesn't mean it's rare. Wind Waker is going for almost 50 bucks new and it sold a few million copies.TheGrimAngel wrote:Zelda games almost never become rare.
