What RPG are you playing right now?

I've started playing Operation Darkness as of late. It's decent; still too early to make a definitve opinion on it yet.

At long last, I've finally got a translated repro of Secret of Mana 2 and multi-tap adapter. I played it on an emulator as a kid, but this is a dream come true. Started playing it a few days ago with my girlfriend, and it's rapidly climbing the list of my favorite retro RPG's.

I have officially started up FF1 from FF 1 & 2: DoS (GBA)

I see there is an RPG Progress Thread; I'll go more into detail there. Memories of 1990 are returning!

I got about halfway through before quitting. It is insanely easy. The new mana system breaks the game. Also you can use soft during battle.

In all honesty, I have a save on my NES cart that is *very* close to the end. I put in a lot of time and effort into grinding away, then I lost interest. I'd pull that out but I dunno if the battery retained it

Playing Ni No Kuni (I love the collector's edition wizard book, reminds me of Ultima) and Aranum, might start Wizards and Warriors (the 2000 game, not the NES game). Any one here ever played that one?

As a new years resolution I resolved to finally play through all three xenosaga games on the PS2. I defeated Xenosaga I last night. Now I am starting on to Xenosaga II. I have owned these games for years but never started them so this is the year to get it done.

Nice. Xenosaga II can be tricky to figure out the combat, just be sure everyone gets analyze/memory ASAP so you can break and manipulate the enemy zones. It gets pretty easy from there.

The graphic appear to be better but the voices are....different. Very different . It is going to take a bit getting use to the menu changes (but just starting that is to be expected). The menu system seems a bit clunky but not the worst I have ever seen.

Shion, KOS-MOS, and Momo all had voice actor replacements, so yeah. And yes they definitely sucked (especially KOS-MOS). Luckily these three aren't really the focus in Xenosaga II, and the original voice actors return for III. Momo's stays the same but she just somehow got better for some reason.

chaos has a new replacement for II-III as well, I'm not sure which I prefer, but his change wasn't as bad. His voice in II-III was more monotone and it kind of fits his weird character I'd say.

If you liked Albedo get ready for a lot of greatness with him in II.

Haven't played it since about the summer of '06, but I started over in Secret of Evermore. I don't think that I have ever beat the Raptors in the beginning.
