One of the thousands of reasons I only have 22 FB friends. That's because they are my actual friends.

I was gonna say. Same thing with me. I have something like 187 friends on FB, but most of them I've actually met in real life. And of course a lot of them are family. There are a few that I've never met in person, but they are friends I've known 'online' since the late 90s.
I work for a company with 300+ employees, I DJ locally, and I travel to several states every year to compete in skateboard races. The vast majority of my FB friends are people I know, and the majority of them I consider to be friends on some level.

Got a letter from the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife informing me that a moose had died on my property of natural causes, and that its body had been disposed of by the proper authorities.

What I wanna know is - who found the moose?!

Maybe it was GPS-tagged?

Make a plan.
See it through.

Dammit, these plans should have had expiration dates.

I'm sure that would be the ideal reason, but I don't think moose are endangered.

I just realized that I never asked the Russian woman I worked with at Walmart to say that.

Seriously though, one of the worst things about me somehow gaining a weird Mid Western/Southern accent mash-up is that every time I'm in Chicago people ask me to say stuff.

"Say Phone!"
"Say On!"
"Say Y'all again"

My wife possibly has the cutest Southern accent. She thinks when I repeat her I'm mocking her, but for me it's just reliving the moment. And it isn't a slack-jawed yokel accent, she still sounds as intelligent as she is, it's just that I find it adorable. She can even turn my name into two syllables: "Lew-uke!".

Random and Gross thought:

My immune system is usually badass, but not so much today. Usually when I get the flu or a cold I feel miserable for maybe a day, and then the next morning I cough up a chunk of something resembling Kuato from Total Recall and I'm fine. The chunk of rubbery goo I spit up is usually the size of pin-ball ball.

But yesterday and today I'm coughing up chunks more the size of a marble, that smell like asshole and death mixed. May have the wife take me to Urgent care when she gets off of work.

That's my brother's wife and her family 100%. Dear god, now your wife sounds like her in my head. My preconceived notions will be shattered if I ever am lucky enough to meet you two.

She's a peach and every one is lucky if they meet her.

Moving from Chicago to Columbus (OH) to Lenoir, NC was something else. I admit that even as a kid I prejudged people with strong "tv" Southern accents as being dumb. I admit to that as 80% of the people I met after moving butchered the English language.

We all make grammatical mistakes from time to time, but I had never heard "We ain't got no..." before in my life. And I heard it from a lot of people, often.

Of course I grew up and realized that it wasn't the accent that made people sound dumb, they were doing that themselves. My wife's voice and accent are cuter than a mouse in a cowboy hat riding a saddled miniature poodle.

Myself on the other hand...I still catch myself saying "Dis, Dat, and dose".
