Somebody please give me a reason not to distrust this.
It probably won't be anywhere near as bad as PPGZ?
Dude, I had finally forgotten about that till just now...

I actually dig those designs...A lot. But I'm a sucker for flat animation, so take it with a grain of salt.

I don't hate the designs, but the thing is that according to the article the new short/special/reboot is gonna be CG... those designs seem like they're purely conceptual.

It's probably going to look different in motion than as still frames anyhow.

indecks wrote:I guess you're referring to either PP Girls or ANOTHER Teen Titans show. I didn't even look at pics of it. I hated teen titans. It was stupid. There was ONE scene in ONE episode that I thought was cool because of it's apparent homage to AKIRA, but other than that it was ridiculous.

Young Justice upped the ante by a factor of 10 at least, with a great story, awesome writing, great animation and quality set up. Green Lantern was just as good, if not better than Justice.

And they cancel that to give us a reboot of fucking teen titans!?
I didn't know about them being cancelled. I'm quite pissed. Young Justice and Green Lantern made me start watching Cartoon Network again after a long period of just not giving a crap about that channel, or cartoons in general.

I actually wouldn't mind having Teen Titans back if it meant more episodes of the original series. Not this new chibi, anime, sitcom crap they are doing. And frankly, even as a guy who enjoyed the original Teen Titans for what it was, it was nowhere even close to being in the same league as Young Justice and Green Lantern Animated. That is a massive downgrading of their DC animation block and I feel like people in DC should be quite pissed about Cartoon Network cancelling them. This leaves Arrow on CW as really the only decent DC show on television now.

The new Batman show I'm not excited about at all from what I've seen and read about it. NO ONE has done Batman right since Batman the Animated Series and Batman Beyond went off the air. The Batman sucked, and the Brave and the Bold was just campy, silly, Adam West style Batman and I've outgrown that. Young Justice actually had the best modern day interpretation of the character I've seen in an animated series since Justice League Unlimited, and now they've gone and cancelled that. Bastards. What really sucks for me as a Batman fan is that Young Justice was the first cartoon I've seen to give so much screen time to Nightwing. He's been in practically every episode this season, and every episode of last season as Robin

I'm just really sick of the light hearted DC stuff now. We've done light hearted Teen Titans. We've done campy Brave and the Bold, and we've had all those silly DC Nation shorts. God, it was a breath of fresh air to have SERIOUS DC cartoons like Young Justice and Green Lantern. I can't believe they're gone.

You guys know that POWERPUFF girls is coming back without it's creator right? That and it will be heavy on CGI.

Skeptical I am.

Yeah, that's what the last page or so has been about. That image is apparently the new designs for the reboot.

No Craig McCracken + CGI really makes me feel very :? :? :? about it. I would love to be optimistic, but there's not really a lot to be optimistic about.

I didn't know if no McCracken had been discussed. I was never into the series, but it had to be quite awesome because of the following it had. Not just in the show, but merchandise as well.

I'd be skeptical, but you never know. Couldn't be worse than the Looney Tunes reboot.

The thing about PPG is that they cancelled it right as the show was starting to go downhill anyway. It was the right time.

There's really no reason to bring it back I think. It's not like TMNT where they have a seperate source material to draw from or re-interpret.
