Lunar Silver Star Story MPEG version, for one. Also Sakura Taisen Hanagumi Tsushin, I believe. There are others that I can't remember, but I don't think any of them are particularly spectacular.Jamisonia wrote: There are games that make use of the VCD card?

I'd say add that then, since one of the main reasons to own a Saturn is the Japanese games.

I'm pretty sure Lunar is the only game that REQUIRES the VCD card even.pierrot wrote:Lunar Silver Star Story MPEG version, for one. Also Sakura Taisen Hanagumi Tsushin, I believe. Yeah, I think you might be right. I think it's worth it for Lunar alone, though.

Several games benefit from the vcd card. I know Gungriffon has a better looking intro with it. The US version of Gungriffon is also compatible, even though it doesn't state it.

actually it may just be Lunar Complete that needs it...pierrot wrote:Yeah, I think you might be right. I think it's worth it for Lunar alone, though.

now THIS is interesting. I'd like to know what US games actually utilize the VCD card considering the card wasn't released in the US so any functionality would be undocumented.SaturnHST wrote:Several games benefit from the vcd card. There are a few PAL games with issues at 60hz as well.
Lum fan.

yeah I wish there was a good list on this kind of thing. I'm always a bit nervous blindly importing a PAL game cuz it might cut off a bunch of the screen and be unplayable.theclaw wrote:There are a few PAL games with issues at 60hz as well.
