I liked that Ziggler eliminated Jericho. Is Jericho really a one-and-done here? I figured maybe they would wrestling at WM. Seems odd to put a guy in there for 40 minutes and not have him stick around.
You could be right, but I just figured he was in the match so long because

A)It's Jericho. It wouldn't make sense for him to get eliminated quickly
B)He's such a workhorse that he would want to stay in for the whole match even if it was a one time thing.
Well whaddaya know? It appears you are correct retrosportsgamer.

I mean why else would TNA have lasted this long?

WHY WHY WHY didn't Dolph Cash in last night WHY!
His briefcase is for the World Heavyweight Championship - you mean cash in on Del Rio? I'd guess because that match went on first. I can't wait until they pull the trigger with him though. I loved his promo about winning the Rumble, cashing in the briefcase and unifying the belts at WM. Just awesome. He showed really well making it to the last four - especially because he wasn't winning it anyway.
It's wrestling...logic isn't in play. I mean Vince was releaved of his duties a year ago...and here he is making decisions again. They say it's for the WHC...that can change on the fly why "becuase fuck you that's why"

that is Pro Wrestling logic. Why? Fuck you that's why.

By the way we're on page 187 so shout out to my homie Homicide. BLAT
Gamerforlife wrote:It's kind of sad that even now in Wrestlemania season the WWE still feels very unmotivated. It feels like they're in "recycle" mode with everything they are doing and they just do not have the balls to do anything truly shocking or game changing. They are such pussies right now. There are shows on television taking much more risks and challenges in their storytelling than anything WWE creative does lately.

Also, seeing as how he wasn't booked to win the rumble anyway I think Ziggler should have been eliminated by Jericho or they should have eliminated each other. It would have been nice to see Jericho get pay back on Ziggler, especially if we're not seeing Jericho again after this. The crowd would have popped for it too. If Jericho eliminated him you could then have had Big E and AJ show up at ringside and be the cause of Jericho's own elimination(with perhaps an accompanying beat down), leaving the crowd to wonder if Jericho could have won the rumble if not for their interference, and also letting Ziggler still get the last word in their feud and a little extra heal heat as well.
Wrestling as a whole is pretty stale. right now US, Japan...Mexico. it's all so MEH

I started watching Ring Of Honor again after fuck knows how long. It's entertaining me
which is more than I can say for Raw when Hell no and the Rock aren't on my screen. Mike Bennett is going to be a Star one day..mark my words.

Woopie FUCKING doo Rock/Cena II... know what I'd do? Make it Rock/Cena/Punk

But no that makes sense.

Watching the best PPVs of 2009/2010. Damn there are a lot of annoying kids in the audience these days. You can hear little kids yelling through out many matches (not just in this DVD). Really annoying. I dont recall that ever being a problem during 80s WWF, WCW, Attitude era WWF nor the Ruthless Aggression era.

There are a shocking number of kids at Indie shows. Even Dragon Gate USA where Sami Callihan and others swear like a kid with Tourettes.

I STRONGLY recommend Evolve/Dragon Gate USA if you're really bored with Wrestling now but still want to watch something.

OH and lets not forget speaking of Japanese Wrestling that NJPW airs it's shows on PPV via Ustream now.

If you're willing to stay up until 2 am.

You have to put the blame on the WWE for all the kids in the crowds. They are the biggest promotion and kids are their target audience now. So says the face of the WWE

What irritates me is that a product aimed at a young audience can still be entertaining. I tune in to Green Lantern the Animated series every week. It's a cartoon clearly aimed at kids, yet doesn't feel written in a way that pushes away adult viewers. The best cartoons of all time have walked that fine line and the same can be said about excellent family oriented movies like The Incredibles and How to Train Your Dragon. Quality family entertainment can be enjoyed by people of all ages

However, WWE thinks that kid friendly programming means having a guy come out and tell the audience that he plays video games and his user name is skidmark

Or dropping piles of manure on people for laughs

Apparently, Vince doesn't realize that kids entertainment has evolved beyond the days of You Can't do that on Television

Honestly, if I had a kid, I don't know if I would want him to watch WWE programming the way it is now. I don't want him to have Cena as a role model or to think that simply dropping poop on people is quality comedy.

I dont mind the kids in the audience (I've been a kid in a WWE audience myself once), as long as they keep their mouths shut  this is what a wrestling crowd's supposed to sound like. I'm not talking about booing/cheering here(*), I mean kids who yell shit at wrestlers. It just distracts/annoys me hearing a helium voice when I'm trying to concentrate on a match, even though I dont even notice it if some drunken guy yells "FUCK HIM UP!" (or something like that) when the wrestlers are brawling near the audience :)

(*) Although I do think that it would some what ruin the mood if the audience reactions to moves, 1-2-3 etc were all very high-pitched

Indeed it's all about the writing. I mean the 1980s and early 1990s WWF was very "family orientated" with all the cartoony characters and what not.

Obviously nobody at WWE knows Chikara exists. A PG Product that is still VERY entertaining.

Having Hollywood writers that didn't grow up as fans isn't helping them either.

Plus lets be perfectly Honest WWE doesn't try because there's no Competition. SURE you could Say TNA is Competition but No, they tape on a soundstage and have trouble paying talent not due to lack of funds but poor management. I've given TNA Chance after chance after chance and watched them in the afternoons during the Fox Sports days. Eventually after the NWA split I just stopped caring and stopped watching entirely once Hogan arrived.

I hate Hogan HATE HOGAN. Growing up I was a Macho Man guy. (RIP)

THIS

I don't need PG-13 and guys killing themselves because you can tell great stories while being PG. I don't watch wrestling for Vince's interpretation of "hot, steamy, sexual overtones" either. Like the Edge/Lita crap.

^ Yes, TNA is really creepy with that stuff. But there's an audience for it I guess.
