From the people who brought you Indie Watch 2011 and Indie Watch 2012 comes Indie Watch 2013! In this thread you will find info about upcoming indie games to be on the lookout for in 2013.

The first game to be on the watch for is Reus. This is a God game with personality. You are a benevolent (possibly occassionally malevolent) God who must help the humans survive nature, and help nature survive the humans. Watch the trailer, it's quite charming. It's like Populous and Shadow of the Colossus had an indie baby.
If this was the only game to come out in 2013, I'd die happy. It's like what would happen if Terraria got 10 times more awesome, and then 20 times more awesome on top of that. It's a story driven game within a procedurally generated sandbox.
This game looks like a hybrid metroidvania meets megaman or something. There is going to be a lot of emphasis on exploring and the music in the trailer is downright spectacular.

This is an arena shooter like the kind we've been playing since Robotron. The only difference is the spherical rotating world you are on and a few puzzle elements. It looks enjoyable though.

!!! This is right up my alley.
Here is another one to look out for. Stealer <---Link to really cool cinematic trailer.
I don't own a PS Vita, but if I did, this would be the game I would be most excited for. Tearaway is just overflowing with creative gameplay ideas that utilize the full functionality of the Vita. It's very clever and has tons of arts-and-crafts charm to top it all off. Watch the trailer and you'll see.
•Beautifully old-fashioned and entirely tile based handcrafted graphics.
•Handling that feels "just right"
•Several large worlds, each with its own set of enemies, design elements and soundtrack
•Multiplayer! Several modes like deathmatch and tag, for up to 4-player splitscreen action. (On platforms with reasonably large screens)
•No colours! Unless you count shades of yellowish green.
•Will be available for a huge selection of platforms, including: iOS, Android and WinPhone devices, PCs running Windows, Linux or MacOS, open consoles like the GCW Zero, Dingoo A320 and Pandora, and possibly even Dreamcast and GP32.
Sapience: an old school FPS built in GameMaker that features a lone survivor on a de-powered spaceship dealing with hordes of bizarre aliens and a limited supply of oxygen!
