He had only been gone for 5 months too. I mean, I could see chanting that at Golddust. I liked his stuff with Cody.

Pissed Cena Won the Rumble.

Somebody said something Major ended the Rumble... before I could watch it, all it was, was the Rock Beat Punk after a shield run in and match restart. I was thinking Dolph Cashed in or something.

Still FINALLY THE ROCK IS ONCE AGAIN WWE........(3 1/2 hour pause) CHAMPION

So woopie fucking do.. Rock Carries Cena again and Cena gets his win back and we have to put up with Cena as Champion again over the summer.

The Rest of Wrestlemania better be EPIC becuase I'm not looking foward to Mainia now. I'm looking forward to the stuff I write as a hobby and how that unfolds more than anything the WWE does.

(I book my own Semi fictional promotion and have for the last 12 years or so)

Hopefully this will lead to some sort of twist w Cena turning heel like him being behind the Shield or something. I doubt it, but you never know.

And what was the point storyline wise of HHH taking over as COO of the company if Vince is still going to be out there making decisions and matches, etc?

Well HHH was removed in the fall of 2011 - then John L was in charge and then Vince fired him. Of course they've made it clear they are ignoring a lot of the inconsistencies there because...WRESTLING.

Cena behind the Shield is still in play. Remember he didn't help his friend Ric Flair out at the Slammys and he could make the case that he wanted Punk to keep the title so he could finally beat him. It's a little bit of a stretch like HHH being the mastermind behind Rikishi running over Austin but it could work.

It will never happen though.

Saw something on Twitter from one of the wrestling news sites that Lesnar has signed a new contract. If true, at least that doesn't make him a complete lame duck at Wrestlemania (if he wrestles HHH). Still wish they would have done something with he and Punk via the Heyman stuff.

His briefcase is for the World Heavyweight Championship - you mean cash in on Del Rio? I'd guess because that match went on first. I can't wait until they pull the trigger with him though. I loved his promo about winning the Rumble, cashing in the briefcase and unifying the belts at WM. Just awesome. He showed really well making it to the last four - especially because he wasn't winning it anyway.

It's kind of sad that even now in Wrestlemania season the WWE still feels very unmotivated. It feels like they're in "recycle" mode with everything they are doing and they just do not have the balls to do anything truly shocking or game changing. They are such pussies right now. There are shows on television taking much more risks and challenges in their storytelling than anything WWE creative does lately.

Also, seeing as how he wasn't booked to win the rumble anyway I think Ziggler should have been eliminated by Jericho or they should have eliminated each other. It would have been nice to see Jericho get pay back on Ziggler, especially if we're not seeing Jericho again after this. The crowd would have popped for it too. If Jericho eliminated him you could then have had Big E and AJ show up at ringside and be the cause of Jericho's own elimination(with perhaps an accompanying beat down), leaving the crowd to wonder if Jericho could have won the rumble if not for their interference, and also letting Ziggler still get the last word in their feud and a little extra heal heat as well.

I was surprised there wasn't a Big E spot where he caught Ziggler and helped him stay in. Of course they did that with two other guys so someone had the idea!

I liked that Ziggler eliminated Jericho. Is Jericho really a one-and-done here? I figured maybe they would wrestling at WM. Seems odd to put a guy in there for 40 minutes and not have him stick around.

You could be right, but I just figured he was in the match so long because

A)It's Jericho. It wouldn't make sense for him to get eliminated quickly
B)He's such a workhorse that he would want to stay in for the whole match even if it was a one time thing.
