An extremely creepy and scary horror film that's half August Underground (A good chunk of the horror comes from some fake snuff films that are absolutely horrifying and disturbing) and half Insidious. Really great performances, editing and sound designs as well.

That movie freaked my girlfriend out. I think it was mostly because she's never been in the attic of her house and she's owned it for about 2 years. She won't watch any movie that has to do with a haunted house now
If you think SINISTER is even "just okay" (I didn't like a bit of it) MAMA will blow your socks off.
Three for me yesterday:
THOR
LEON: THE PROFESSIONAL
BLACK SWAN
Sense a theme?
MARVEL'S THE AVENGER'S makes THOR a better film some how. To me THOR is still "okay", but it felt a little less dumb on a second viewing. AVENGER'S made the character more likeable and interesting. It's one of those movies that when people ask you "So what happens?" your answer is "Um. Stuff?".
THE PROFESSIONAL: still awesome. I watched the creepier first release where there is more tension between Leion and Matilda, but it doesn't bother me as I've talked myself into thinking the tension isn't sexual by nature. Rather I like to believe Leon is afraid to love, and Matilda "frees his heart".
Why Leon has dresses and sports bras in his apartment is still a mystery to me, but I did notice something I had not before: Matilda holds "Piggy" while she sleeps. Just one tiny big thing I never noticed before.
Also, note to self: Buy the soundtrack.
BLACK SWAN
Love this movie so much. Besides my wife, I don't believe I have a friend that likes it. I love movies where everything is open to interpretation, and that's what BLACK SWAN is. Well, that and it's a movie where Portman makes out with Kunis.
I love, love, love Leon. I have both versions and love them equally. I think it's one of my favorite movies because you've got Jean Reno, who is awesome and woefully underworked as of late, Natalie Portman was what, 13, and acted that well. Amazing. And I dont think I even have to mention Gary Fucking Oldman as Stansfield. There's really no need to even talk about how amazing he is as a villain, then you have Luc Besson's style/choice of score. It's an amazing film.
It's one of those movies that when people say "haven't seen it" I throw it in the player immediately. And I say this often, but it is also a movie that does everything it sets out to do. It keeps you invested and you ignore all the dumb stuff (why Leon has women's clothing/how Leon learned to read in a couple of days/why Leon wasn't arrested on pervy charges/why Matilda who plant Leon's "roots" in the middle of a girl's school yard, etc).
Everything falls into place perfectly, and that's a big part of how I critique a movie. It doesn't have to make sense, but it has to make sense. And that might not make any sense to you, but it makes perfect sense to me.
Oddly, we watched Thor yesterday too. Yeah, it was alright.
I liked it the second time around better, but yeah. It's one of those flicks where I say "Well, it's a movie". It's not bad, it just exists. Kind of a waste with Hopkins too.

I may have linked it before, but this chart captures my thoughts on Black Swan perfectly (and why I think it is so awesome:
