Honestly, if Sega really wanted to both please fans who pine for the days of classic Sonic gameplay, yet still desparately wanted a beat-em-up thrown in the mix, why wasn't Knuckles the first to get the call instead of an ill-conceived (whether you like the beat-em-up gameplay or not; very, very stupid concept, even if they can make it work) Werehog? Call it Sonic & Knuckles 2 if you really want the nostalgia flowing. It would've been a great way to kill both the "New Sonic games are garbage" and "Why do I always have to go on stupid scavenger hunts with Knuckles? Why isn't he cool anymore?" birds with one, massive, sales-charts-slaughtering stone.
