Intel GM915chipset/GMA900 OpenGL on Vista.
Cant figure out how to get it to work. Mabe once somebody finally finds the old lakeport drivers. If you guys have them or if you guys can give any ideas they are all appreciated. I want to play Call of Duty!

Since Microsoft have no WDDM drivers for this chipset you are SOL. I don't even think you can run Aero on this chipset.
Next time buy a system with a real graphics card in it
Those intel chipsets suck major arse.
Or you could just downgrade to XP.

You're pretty much stuck with Vista basic with that chipset. It was almost supported because it can borderline run Aero and such (it was supported in Windows Longhorn for quite some time, just got axed by the final release.)
I have the same chipset in my old Dell and I don't see the point in running Vista on hardware that old anyways. Most modern gaming on it is a pipe dream anyways, but you'd have better luck in XP.

Yes they do but what do you expect in a thin and light from 2005. Its good enough to run Morrowind though so its honestly not a huge problem. Just I cant play CoD because it REQUIRES OpenGL. Most things dont.Niode wrote:Since Microsoft have no WDDM drivers for this chipset you are SOL. I don't even think you can run Aero on this chipset.

Nothing for you here?

My laptop uses the 965 chipset, and for the short while I used it for Vista, it had no trouble running Aero, but I dont think I got around to testing opengl games on it. I do know that the config panel for the 965 has a graphics panel for OpenGL settings, but has nothing for DirectX.
