Paddle needs cleaning, though just twisting it back and forth for a bit might help. Joysticks are just switches, so either the plug isn't making contact with the right pin, the button inside is full of crap and needs cleaning out, or the wire for right is broken in the cord.flojocabron wrote:the right paddle controller is too skittish and my standard controller doesn't move to the right.

I remember way back in the day, that you couldn't even give that game away. Paying a dollar for it, people would say that you got ripped off.
A few months ago in a really expensive antiques store, the guy had one with a black case and wanted $20 for it!
Absurd!

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
America sure shafted themselves when it came to PC gaming in the late 80s and early 90s.
Looking at games to start my JP game collection I decided to start with the Ocean classic that ended up on NES, DOS, Amiga, and a few other places.
The DOS version looks and sounds great, but I looked up the Amiga version this morning and holy crap does it sound and look nice.
Especially the sound. DOS MIDI/SoundBlaster/etc. just don't compare.
Now I want an Amiga.

Until id Games came along, PC gamers were better off living in Europe.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:America sure shafted themselves when it came to PC gaming in the late 80s and early 90s.

Plus, floppies are a volatile media format and I'd rather not deal with them. I'll probably only buy C64 carts from now on.

I now own more Saturn games than Dreamcast games. I don't know how that happened.

Going to pick up my third pinball on Sunday afternoon. Look for pictures Sunday evening. I'm pretty damn excited.
You know the feeling.
Like when you saved up all summer to get the newest system. You go to the store and hand over all the money you've earned through blood, sweat, and tears. The guy hands over the NIB system and you can't believe you are holding it. Your savings quest has been completed but you know this was just the beginning of the journey you are about to embark on with your new hardware.
I love that feeling.
