Hm. What to wear today?

The correct answer is neither. However, if you're speaking historically, the Penguins are much better. ;) Is that a Capitals Jersey in the first photo?

Nope.

Let's see (even though it's changed, white still equals home to me):

Hurricanes Home, Ron Francis
Hurricanes Away
Bruins Away
Bruins Home, Joe Juneau
Flyers Away
Penguins Home
Oilers Home
Blackhawks Home
Blackhawks Away, Eddie Belfour
Nashville Predators Away
Colorado Avalanche Home
Colorado Avalanche Away
Maple Leafs Home, Tie Domi

Wisconsin Badgers Away
North Dakota Fighting Sioux Away
Notre Dame Away
Greenville League, Head Coach aka me
ECU Pirates Home, me

I may be forgetting one or two. Some are ice official, fight straps and all, others are "official Starter, CCM, and KOHO".

Well, maybe things could have different back then if "Dollar Bill" wasn't in charge of the Blackhawks and his sons instead.

I do want the realignment to happen after this season, I do want my Wild team to play Detroit, Chicago, and Dallas(!) instead of waiting for an hour or two against Avs, Oilers, and Canucks.

I dunno, Winnipeg playing in the southeast is almost too comedic to stop.

Well, it does look like Winnipeg is in the Southeast...when the map is upside down.

Well it seems the NHL will take care of the players participation in the Winter Olympics first, since it is coming up within a year (and talks are needed with IIHL and IOC). But the realignment plan is scheduled to be discussed right after this season.

Now the season is at the quarter mark for most teams, anyone disappointed with their teams?

I say my Wild did under-perform, and I am willing to accept the significant roster turnover and the lack of training camp as an excuse. BUT from here on, I do expect to see chemistry development and coaching staff making adjustments.

I do think my Wild will make the playoffs this season (barring any significant injuries to key players) at the right moment when the team is jelling (I do believe in having the right momentum for sports teams).

The Blackhawks need to do better on their power plays. 18.4% isn't good enough. Needs to be at least 20%.

The Blackhawks are 10-0-3. That's good enough for me.

So when are we planning on losing? Really hope it isn't the 25th; I've got tickets for that game.

I think we plan on losing four consecutive games in the Stanley Cup Finals.

I would argue this is one of the most impressive streaks in sports history. Take A.I's famous speech and insert "hockey" for "practice". I mean, we're talking about Hockey. Not basketball, not soccer, not football...Hockey. Hockey.

A streak like this is astounding for the sport. It's not one QB and a quick WR scoring all the points, you've got three, sometimes four different lines out their playing to seal a W.

Sure, the hawks may fizzle and not win the Cup. I hope they do win the Cup, but if not, I'm cool, as I am watching history in the making. The mighty Blackhawks have had a target on them for MONTHS now.

My only gripe is that Bettman fudged up this season so the streak will probably end up with some asterisk.

edit* That was short.
