I tried playing with the face buttons and it felt more accurate, but less smooth. I ended up going with dual analog mostly because it was more familiar. It's still very fun and playable with the face buttons though.
I had a big week for game finds...Last Blade 2 (DC) and Bank Heist (2600) are the highlights, but I even added a few Arcadia 2001 and NES games to my collection...
The new entries are in bold.

Crimzon Clover (PC)
This is a doujin (fan-created) Japanese PC shmup that received a commercial release. It's done so well that it's going to become a proper arcade game in Japan, and re-released that way. We are gonna be playing this over on the Together Retro Shmup thread in April. Special thanks to ranc0r who put in the extra work to snatch up any remaining copies in Japan, and mjmr25 for brokering the special group deal with him so that RB members could get this game in time and for sending them out to all of us who wanted it.

Would you care to elaborate on that for us? I see them all the time on eBay and it seems they're always missing a manual or case on their Gamecube games, and I also see they have an Amazon Marketplace shop set up. Those carts look fine. It's too bad too, because I see good prices from them.

Bank Heist I recently tried, and it was definitely a surprisingly good 2600 title. Not all 20th Century Fox games suck!

So far, I have M.A.S.H. and Bank Heist. I am looking for Alien - and I may get Porky's solely for its kitsch value - but other than that I can't think of any others that are worth adding to my collection.

Fantastic Voyage and Turmoil are also good Fox games, I don't know how hard they'd be to find.

I forgot that those were Fox games! They are both on my "want list", and neither appears to be very expensive. (According to VGPC, Turmoil sells for about $2 and Fantastic Voyage sells for about $7.)
I've never played Xenogears but have read a ton of reviews/articles to know that people love this game, so I figured I'd take a chance. I bought Fire Emblem at the same time as it was complete and around $10 less than the eBay average ($55-ish).
GameStop was good to me this week, but a random pawn shop had some sports games I wanted for $1 a piece. In any event, I completed my "Joe Montana" Sega Genesis sub-collection, and I brought the total number of PS1 long boxes in my collection up to an even 50. (Also, I grew up in Kansas City, and my "new" copy of NFL Football '94 Starring Joe Montana brings back a lot of good memories...)
As always, the new entries are in bold.
