Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
Yeah, Lost's finale was lame, and the worst part of it all was that it was exactly what fans had feared. Lost was such am ambitious show, few people thought it could end in a satisfying way and it didn't. I think Battlestar Galactica had a more satisfying finale, even though some fans hated that one too. Fringe really nailed it though, really, really good stuff. That's how you get it right. Honestly, that was like a textbook 101 example of how to end a series properly. Those last two episodes put together felt like a proper Fringe movie. I think they schooled both Lost and BSG in how to do a finale.
I feel bad that I couldn't watch Nikita live since the Fringe finale was on this past Friday, not that it probably matters since I don't live in a Nielsen home. They really delivered a kick ass episode. It was a great exercise in how to build suspense in a episode and what a nice shocker of an ending it had too. Judging from what I see online, TV reviewers enjoy this show, but it just feels like it never really gets talked about much. Underrated.
Can't wait for Once Upon a Time tonight! It had something of a cliffhanger last Sunday. And Supernatural had a bit of a shocking turn of events last episode making for an overall great week of TV in my opinion. Glad to have Arrow back too, though I feel that something big needs to happen on that show soon as it feels like it's settling into a sort of status quo sort of place that Smallville stayed stuck in for eons

I've been watching Homeland for the past three or four hours. I have two episodes left for season 2. I may look back on this post after I've had time to process everything I've seen and realize that I was crazy to say this, but at this very moment I think Homeland may be better than Breaking Bad.

I just got done watching the premiere of The Following. This show definitely has potential!

The Missus and I have been watching FRIENDS from the beginning. I don't know about anyone else, but I always liked FRIENDS. I didn't watch it religiously like Seinfeld, but I did watch it all the time and found it entertaining/funny.
It surprised me how quickly this show hit it's stride. Not even halfway through the first season we noticed we were laughing constantly characters had grown into themselves, and remembering a lot of scenes vividly. We're in the middle of season 2 now, but we've already seen the Marcel arc, the awesome episode with Joey and his tailor as well as the "Hombre" scenes. Still a great show. And damn, Jennifer Aniston was so cute and hot. I mean she still is (why Pitt would leave her for Been-Hit-in-the-Lips-with-A-2x4 Jolie is beyond me) but maybe it's the terrible 90s fashion.. shes a hottie!
We're also watching Night Court. We were renting the DVDs from Netflix when we had the DVD account, but I downloaded seasons 3-9 and we're going through them. Great show as well. Dan Fielding, man. Dan Fielding.
We also re-started FRINGE, just for shits and giggles. It's on Amazon Instant so we figured why not.

I'm either torrenting season 3 episodes or signing up for cable again. I can't wait on Netflix any longer. Mad Men and Walking Dead are keeping us busy for now.
