yeah CRT I know what you're saying I don't go back to the switch box if I can help it.

For 5 bucks at Radio Shack you can get a little adapter

it works pretty good you don't have to be switching between TV and computer

I need to get more of those adapters for my old consoles that have the "fork" TV hookups (no idea what they're actually called). I only have two adapters that I constantly have to rotate between the Odyssey 2, Atari 2600, TI-99/4A, and Intellivision. Thankfully my C64 came with an AV cable.

Is it Composite? There are C64 cables that have three RCA leads, one for the mono audio and the other two for Chroma and Luma. The two RCA video leads can be adapted to SVideo to get a clearer pic for the big screen.

Virtual Boy - $40.00
with Mario's Tennis and Red Alarm
$40 is usually way more than I would consider spending on a video game console from a thrift store, but I don't think I've actually seen one of these before and couldn't not get it. It's missing the black eyepiece thing I think, but it works well. My first time playing the Virtual Boy first hand and I have to admit, I think it's pretty fun and isn't as bad as it's reputation suggests.

Image

Star Wars (NES - boxed) - $2.00. The label on the cartridge inside is rough but hey, an NES box!
Streets of Rage (Game Gear) - $2.00.

Image

Shadowrun (SNES) - $2.00
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES - Player's Choice) - $2.00
Sim City (SNES - Player's Choice) - $2.00
Stargate (SNES) - $2.00
Plok (SNES) - $2.00
Kirby's Avalanche (SNES) - $2.00
Natsume Championship Wrestling (SNES) - $2.00

I think even with the $40 price tag on the virtual boy you still made a killing on the whole haul you got some popular you could easily make most of your money back with.

Good find :!:

Half price books clearance
Fifa Street GCN CIB $2
Harvest Moon a wonderful life missing manual and with gamestop stickers  $3
Timesplitters Future Perfect CIB xbox $2 ( I know the GCN version goes for like $40+ now on amazon but I bought this version for my friend as I don't care to own an oxbox).

Keep telling myself I need to play more games and collect less but when I am right by a HPB i gotta stop in to check the clearance section. A clerk once told me they mainly clearance games in poor condition and then explained the return policy. But a lot of clearance stuff is just covered in other store stickers.

Had a friend call me yesterday about another friend of his getting rid of his older games. He brought them over to my place and I dug through them. Didn't find much of note until I ran across this:

Stopped by the local "Trade It" (Pawn Shop) and grabbed NBA 2K3 and Naruto for the Gamecube for $1.99 each. Not a bad deal for CIB games as it sure beats shipping and the prices on Ebay or so i thought.......

Opened up Naruto at the counter to make sure it had the Manual and guess what i found.....

Yes that is Wind Waker, unfortunately no manual.

Guy at the counter was shocked....I quickly said I would take it for $1.99, he said "Me too!" paid my money and got out of there in a hurry

Then I get home and see that Wind Waker is coming in HD to the Wii U  very strange coincidence.....
Need Hexyz Force and Class of Heroes 2 for a complete PSP RPG Set.....let me know your price!!!!

I grabbed some games from a local resale store this weekend. I discovered the Sonic Adventure case contained two Sonic Adventure game discs! Bonus!
I also grabbed House of the Dead 2 on DC and Spongebob Squarepants Supersponge for the PS1.
$11 total. They were marked $5 each, but I'm such a regular they normally knock off some money. Glad they did because I can rationalize that I paid no money for the Spongebob game. Hated it. Not even close to the fun GBA Spongebob game I bought my oldest daughter so many years ago.
Systems: Pong, Odyssey2, Atari 2600, NES, CDX, SNES, N64, Saturn, DC, PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, GCN, Wii, Xbox360, OUYA
Handhelds: GB, GBC, GBA, DS lite, DSi, Virtual Boy (<< is that even a portable?)
EM Pinballs: Bally Dixieland, Gottlieb Flying Carpet
SS Pinball: GTB Circus, GTB Count-Down, GTB Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Stern Lectronamo, Stern Galaxy, Bally Black Pyramid

I will totally buy that extra sonic adventure disc off you if you want to unload it. My son snapped mine in half a while back.

Went hunting today!

Salvation army:
Final Fantasy 7: $2
Final Fantasy 9: $2
Mission Impossible (ps1): $2
Pokemon Pearl box & inserts: $1
Diablo: $2 (Edit: PC version)

Out of the Closet:
Grim Fandango: $2

I have never found anything at the Salvation Army because someone keeps stealing all the discs and leaving the cases. Don't know how the dude missed these.
