Tetris DS. Keeps my entertained when I'm in the smallest room. Sat there for 45 mins once... Didn't even notice!

You might like N+. There are around 200 levels and it's certainly difficult. Furthermore, it just has that addictive quality that kept me coming back until I beat it.

I have N+ on XBLA. Is it the same exact game on DS?

I find picross to be way better than sudoku, I mean sudoku doesn't even make pictures. I'd say get Picross DS if you are looking for a good addictive puzzle game. I don't own it myself but I enjoy picross a great deal and I don't see how they would be able to fuck it up.

I'd have to say NOT Bomberman (sorry, I had to  ). Friends have really recommended Soul Bubbles to me (although I have yet to play it myself). As soon as I'm able to steal back my DS from my fiance I plan to buy it.

Based on what you've got, I'd recommend:

Advance Wars: Days of Ruin
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (both based on you having the other ones)
Final Fantasy IV
Etrian Odyssey 1 & 2 (both really good RPGs, though they're much harder than the standard Final Fantasy)
