I haven't actually made it to check out that store yet. The only time I'm really that direction is when heading down 288 to my parent's house. It will be a bit before I have wheels again, but I'll remember to look for it when I finally check it out. I'm not dying for it, but it is on my want list. The question is whether it will be a price I want to pay.

No, it's not a price you want to pay
It was going for like $120 over there, and they had it behind the counter. Way too much. But I still like the store - it's run by a guy who is a collector and running the store was his dream. I've chatted with him several times about our personal collections, he has some neat oddities in his possession, like a boxed european TG-16. He also doesn't really check online too often for prices, so they can vary. I bought a CIB Mr. Bones for the Sega Saturn from his shop for $3, for example. Not a great deal, but still a good $20 or so below what it normally goes for. I prefer the store over Game Over and the other retro shops because they generally have a wider selection - Game Over is almost all Genesis and SNES and Playstation 2. Player 1 has a bunch of more obscure systems - lots of Neo Geo AES or Atari XE type stuff.
Worth your time to check the shop out, but you'll probably get better deals buying from trading posts attached to hobbiest forums like the one on this site.

I cant give you any numbers or anything but it seems to me like the Atari Lynx was more popular in Europe than in the US. IIRC it was designed by Commodore's engineers so the success of Atari gaming computers (and Amiga) probably gave it some kind of popularity boost in Europe?

Sms was very big here in Uk as far as am concerned,i started with a kid at school with table top games like Astro Wars and Galaxy Invader 1000 and then i got an Atari 2600,Zx Spectrum and then the Sega Master System which i still think is a great system.When i owned the Atari 2600 of course there was rival systems in the form of the Coleco,Intellivision,Philips Videopac G7000 (Odyssey 2),etc and with the Zx Spectrum there were all sorts of computers out to rival it such as the C64,BBC model B,Dragon 32,Aquarius,Oric,Amstrad CPC,Atari 8-bits,etc,etc but with the Master system there was nothing much else out there in console form to rival it,i recall hearing of just one other kid in school who apparently had a NES but i never saw one myself until i started collecting game stuff in the early 1990`s when i saw them appearing at car boot sales (swap meets) and i purchased one so i reckon i did not play a NES here in the UK until around 1995 .
