For some reason I have no idea why or how but I ended up baby sitting my 8 year old cousin today.
I think my massive video game collection drew him in. We started off with Ridge Racer but soon moved on to Outrun and Crazy Taxi.
He LOVED Crazy Taxi so much that he didn't want to leave, I fired up my dreamcast for Crazy Taxi 1 and 2 and 18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker.
Kid loved em.
Also yanked my Dreamcast controller out of the system 4 times.
But this is a testament to Sega's Timelessness.

I'm partial to the Genesis port personally.
Older. Not wiser.

We were on my 360 for awhile so were were playing Outrun Online Arcade and Outrun 2.noiseredux wrote:which port of Outrun? Man, I love that game so much.
I wanted to get him playing the Saturn Outrun but he didn't want to.
And Yeah I too love Outrun and my copy of the Saturn version is my most prized game out of all the 1000s of games I have.

In my experience, most kids don't care how old or new a game is. If they haven't played it, it's new to them. They just want to have fun.
It was that way for me when I was a kid too at least.

he did say "nothing animated" as in no 2d
which upset me
But he had no problem playing R4 which yes is 3d but also, looks like shit (one of those PS1 games that hasn't aged well graphically )
