they aren't displays, those are the full games. they're just kinda scratched up (skyrim has a ring around it), so if i can get them resurfaced and playable then it'll be a nice score.

I have never played it before, but I have heard that it is pretty good...

I rate this up there with SF3 and Garou. Seriously that good.

Than I was out and about yesterday and scored
Tomba 2 - cart and artwork, missing instructions - PS - $3.99
I passed on these since I didn't know if they were a good deal or not

Fatal Fury 2 - CIB - SNES - $7.99

I also a scored about 50 back issue comic books, mostly DC, that I was missing at 50-cents each.

A local Game Stop is closing. I know a worker there (my son's roommate) who let me know they were throwing out some Nintendo Wii Interactive Standee's. The horror! They are 7-8 feet tall, made of metal and are HEAVY! It took two trips from Avon to Vermilion (30 miles each way) and help from two different strong guys to get them into my HHR, but they are now in my garage. We will make one good one from the two, with lighting and all, and mount our 40" tv to it and install a Wii and a Game Cube under the front lighted panel. The other one, we will take the top part and mount it on the wall elsewhere in the house, like a beer sign.

I was so excited with these. I also went dumpster diving at another Game Stop along the way. I scored many cases and sleeved games to match! It was a banner weekend.

That set up will be pretty damn cool once you get it together. Certainly will make your game room distinctive.

I hear people talk about finding some amazing stuff through Gamestop dumpster dives. I'm a bit too timid to venture out for that sort of thing but good on you for grabbing those cases. It pains me to know that they just throw that stuff away when they *should* know how much cases and box art mean to real gamers. Glad to know they're going to a good home.

On another note, I picked up Castlevania: Lords of the Shadow (360) brand new for $10 at Fry's today. Also grabbed Epic Mickey (Wii) for $15. I'm well over my gaming budget for the month but it's so hard to pass up good deals on new games.

You should totally go back for that! Never pass on CIB SNES games for that price. You'd probably get more than $20 for Fatal Fury 2 if you don't want to keep it. I definitely would buy it.

CIB clear yellow Dreamcast controller - $30 shipped. Idk if this was the best deal but I've never seen one boxed and it seems to be the rarest ntsc release for dc controllers so I jumped. Now to find a yellow vmu.

Bad advice.

There are dozens, dare I say hundreds of pretty awful SNES games and they rightfully sell CIB for under $10. In a library of 700+, yr gonna have duds, SNES is no exception. As for Fatal Fury 2, unless you want it - leave it. Last completed went for $15, after fees / shipping, you'll be getting your money back for your troubles.

A few days ago, I picked up this European Sega Master System II with Sonic built-in for $35 shipped on eBay:


Since I can't use PAL RF here, I promptly modded it to run at 60 Hz and added this:


I eventually plan to convert this into an actual NTSC system and add an S-video jack in place of the RF modulator (which I've already removed). It was actually rather fun modding it for RGB and if anyone's interested in having their SMS II modded, let me know!

It's already running in 60Hz, and MS games are regionfree. So I don't get it...
