Thoughts on the SupaBoy?
I am thinking of purchasing the SupaBoy not only because of the ability to play SNES on the go but also because it plays SFC games. I do not have a SFC and this seems to be a cheaper alternative for me right now. Does anyone else have the SupaBoy and can give me some opinions?
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)
Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping!

Re: Thoughts on the SupaBoy?
The cheapest alternative is to just break the tabs off your SNES. However, a Super Famicom isn't that expensive either compared to the Supaboy.
I can't review the Supaboy, though, because I've never played on one either.

Re: Thoughts on the SupaBoy?
i had a SupaBoy for a short period of time and it supported more games (FX-Chip games, etc) than any other clone snes consoles out in the market. the only reason why i sold it because i rather play on the real thing. but for what it's worth, if you want to go for it i don't see why not. the only selling point for me is it's SNES/SFC on the go. it is also known to play a few PAL games if i recall correctly.

You dont even have to open it just use a pliers and start rocking the tab back and forth it breaks off pretty easily.TheSegaSaturnGuy wrote:Thanks alot. When I break the tabs will it still allow me to play my ntsc games? Also, breaking the tabs would render the eject button useless right?ninjainspandex wrote:You dont even have to open it just use a pliers and start rocking the tab back and forth it breaks off pretty easily.TheSegaSaturnGuy wrote:Thanks alot. Re: Thoughts on the SupaBoy?
Breaking the tabs simply allows the SFC carts to fit (SNES carts have extra slots to accommodate the tabs while SFC ones don't). SNES carts will continue to fit as normal and the eject button isn't affected. Look inside your cart slot if you don't understand what's going on.TheSegaSaturnGuy wrote:

To build on what deathsled said, all the pins are the same, but if you look at the back of the carts:deathsled wrote:Breaking the tabs simply allows the SFC carts to fit (SNES carts have extra slots to accommodate the tabs while SFC ones don't). Youll notice two notches on the SNES carts, that are not on SFC ones. Break of their pegs inside of the slot and boom, your SNES plays SFC carts.
