So what have you guys been watching lately?
Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
I remember the 4400, but I saw the, pilot? I guess? It was a movie or something, but then turned into a series. I only ever saw the movie.

I'm almost done with Season 1 of "Six Feet Under". Am liking the show a lot so far.
Also finished the first episode of Season 2 of Sherlock. That was a great episode with Irene Adler - The Lady.
Also watched a few episodes of "Moonshiners" reality show.

Sad that both Flashpoint and Last Resort are showing their final episodes next week.
I've been watching the "Kiki Series" videos from Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende! Search for them on YouTube.

Currently still plowing through Law and Order SVU episodes I haven't seen yet. Currently on season 11, one year before I started watching SVU IIRC.
Also saw the pilot episode of The Carrie Diaries.

I only saw the first three or four episodes of Last Resort, but I thought it had a lot of potential, and it's from the guy who did the Shield. I never saw The Shield but heard it had a few amazing seasons. I plan on catching up on Last Resort on my DVR and seeing what could have been.ExedExes wrote:Sad that both Flashpoint and Last Resort are showing their final episodes next week.

I'm watching the Fringe two hour series finale. My DVR taped Nikita during the first hour. I'm enjoying the Fringe finale so far and can't wait to see what happened on Nikita when it's over. Good night for TV

That's funny, someone else I spoke to also needed to catch up on their DVR at the same point you're at. Follow it straight through or you'll definitely miss something. Lots of twists & turns last night too. As sad as it is, in all honesty, it probably could not have lasted more than the season it did.Gamerforlife wrote:I only saw the first three or four episodes of Last Resort, but I thought it had a lot of potential, and it's from the guy who did the Shield. Fringe series finale, awesome! Some people are going to pick apart the plot and point out stuff that doesn't make sense. Honestly, I just don't care. It's a sci fi, genre show. 90% percent of them inevitably come to a point in the story where something doesn't make sense. I could pick apart episodes of Dr Who or Lost all day long for their plot holes, retcons, and inconsistencies. I could even point out such problems in shows like Buffy or Supernatural. Given the ridiculous nature of most things in sci fi and fantasy shows to begin with, you just have to expect that. It's the nature of the beast. I just think of that moment in the Austin Powers movie where he tells the audience not to drive themselves crazy trying to understand the time travel and how it works, but to just enjoy the ride.
I think the finale was full of great action, excellent performances, moving musical scores, lots of emotional moments, and proper send offs for every character. As a fan, I think they gave me everything I could have wanted in a finale. The way it ended was fitting too, it was the sort of thing you expected to happen since the first season of the show. I know some people didn't like this season's approach. I did. I was sick of the monster/villain of the week formula and glad they ditched it. I hate procedural, self contained episodes in my TV shows. I much prefer complex, serialized, miss an episode and you're lost, storytelling.

I've mentioned that I didn't mind Fringe's COTW episodes because it was part of its charm, but having said that, I agree with every god damned thing you just said here. The ending was beautiful, sci-fi, emotional, well written, referenced shit from early on in the show, answered questions, and left us wanting more, but at the same time, very satisfied with what we got.
LOST's ending was a fucking JOKE. The ending to WHO'S THE BOSS was more well written/thought out than LOST's. But Fringe... as I said when I texted my cousin (we were Fringe buddies): THATS HOW YOU END A DAMN SCI-FI SHOW. THATS HOW YOU DO IT.
his response: "tswatimtalkinabout."
Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
Agreed. I will miss Fringe.
