Hell, even the boss fights were easy because you could then use your pistol shots to target them. The final fight against Marburg, he stuck enough of his head up to let me plink him down to nothing with a single magazine.

I just finished Final Fantasy II. It's been at least 17 years since I last played this. I played through it repeatedly back then.

What a great game. It's amazing what can be conveyed with just a few frames of animated sprites. Sitting at the end screen and I didn't want to turn it off, the music is so stirring.

Now I can move on to Final Fantasy III. I bought it at release, got to the ghost train part, quit, and traded it all in to Babbage's for $35 in credit. I've managed to avoid all spoilers and pretty much anything about the game all these years. I have a few articles about the game bookmarked for many years, just waiting until after I finish the game.

Decided to give Oblivion a play through again. It's been a couple of years since the last time I played it.

Indeed, I recognize that ending screen anywhere.

I am not a big RPG gamer but I am 5 hours into Xenoblade Chonicles and its quite good so far. I really hope Nintendo can step it up for the Wii U and keep supporting high quality titles like XC.

"ghost train part" is all I had to read for clarification myself.

Well, I just beat Ys III on the SNES. Now I'm wondering about all the "lesser" RPGs that people don't really discuss when talking about the console. Games like Drakkhen, Arcana, Robotrek, Paladin's Quest, 7th Saga, Eye of the Beholder, Super Ninja Boy, etc. A lot of folks seem to focus on the quality titles like the Final Fantasies, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, the Breath of Fires, etc. But what else is worth checking out?

It's actually kind of funny that you say Nintendo is supporting titles like Xenoblade, when they wouldn't even publish it in North America without a corporate sponsor despite the game being fully translated to English and requiring zero development effort.
