Take one part beat 'em up, another part shoot 'em up, and throw in lots of quick time events and you generally have Asura's Wrath gameplay covered. However, the game is presented in such a manner that makes you feel like you are playing an interactive anime.

The game splits up the story in episodes complete with commercial breaks, to be continued, previews of the next episode, and intro/ending credits. The game is over the top and it takes pride in that which is what makes the experience so enjoyable. In fact, I actually enjoyed the story despite how ridiculous it may seem at times.

Asura's Wrath is also quite a sight to look at. The graphics are very crisp, clean, and detailed for the most part. There wasn't much here that felt lackluster and the overall presentation is just top notch. The same goes for the soundtrack and voice acting. There are some definite memorable tunes. In particular, I really enjoyed the music from
the battle with Augus and Yasha's sort-of western style theme song.

It is refreshing to see Capcom publish something that is a little more outside of the safe-zone that they have stayed in for far too long. I also have to give props to Cyber Connect 2 for putting together a unique and fun package with Asura's Wrath. Then again, I knew I was going to have a good time given their past work dating back as early as Tail Concerto.

In the end, given the price that I paid, it was well worth it. I won't, however, be purchasing any of the additional DLC (and apparently there is a lot of it.)
This game sounds fascinating. It's pretty cheap too, not much to stop me from buying it or at least adding it to my Gamefly queue

1- Fallout: New Vegas (i don't remember if i beat this year or in the last week of december but i will put it here anyway) + Dead Money + Honest Hearts

2- Fallout 3 + Operation anchorage + The Pitt

New Vegas
Well i really liked this game the feel itself of post apocaliptic world feels much better in fallout 3 but new vegas goes for a different feel. The weapon selection is much bigger in this game (and ever BIGGER with the DLC), the group system is more complex this time sometimes you HAVE to be hated for one group in order to be loved by other one. Also really liked how in the ending they show what happens with each town you go, each faction and even shows what happens to your companions.

Now in the DLC part i liked Dead Money, just because of the creepy atmosphere and a TOTALLY diferent scenario than the mojave but still fits in the game. Honest hearts... i didn't liked as much since the only thing i hate about the desert are those mountains and you have to walk A LOT to find your way and sometime i find it the way BY PURE ACCIDENT  the best part of the dlc is the guns i get (the thompson like smg). Then i started the 3rth dlc (old world blues) and i was really bored by those robots that you talk at the beggining after that little torture i go out and get bored pretty quick so i stopped there.

Fallout 3
I can't really choose witch one i liked most, since i liked both on diferent ways, but the overall feels of atomic desaster goes for fallout 3. I can just say the game is awesome and i will leave it there since my post is long enough. The DLC so far Operation anchorage too short and felt like a generic FPS but you get a awesome white powerarmor and a unique weapon so is ok by me, the pitt throws you a plot twist in the last part of the game and neither of the choices you make is a "good" one since someone people will suffer by this choice.

Games Beaten 2013
Twisted Metal - PS1
Twisted Metal 2 - PS1
Twisted Metal III - PS1
Twisted Metal 4 - PS1
Screaming Mad George's Paranoiascape - PS1
N.O.V.A. - PSP
Jetpack Joyride - Vita *new*
Devil May Cry (2013) - 360 *new*

Total: 8

2012 Games Beaten
2011 Games Beaten
2010 Games Beaten

This is probably the third device I've played through Jetpack Joyride on. Such a fun little title, and addictive as all get out.

The Devil May Cry reboot is good. It's even very good, and it is likely the best game of its subgenre this generation (meaning it surpasses both DMC4 and Bayonetta, and easily). There's a ton of combo opportunities throughout as (eventually) there are eight weapons at your disposal at any given instant and each of those has about a dozen or so moves associated with it, there's often a need to think and plan attacks (not just simply button mash), the ranking/style system seems well implemented and challenging, and the story (while predictable) is compelling enough as an origin story to hold your attention whether you are a veteran of the series or a newcomer. I can't really find much fault with the game, other than to say that there isn't a punishing difficulty available from the start (I played on "Nephilim" and haven't dabbled in the unlocked difficulties yet), but - unlike the best games in the series - the default difficulty ("Demon Hunter") should at least be accessible to/doable for most gamers.

Yea, I definitely recommend it as long as you know what to expect. The game is $16.99 w/ free shipping at Newegg if you're interested in purchasing. However, you should at least give it a rent to try it out.

you got that right. True story: I discovered it because Baku Baku was a Together Retro title one month and at the time I didn't have any systems it was on. So I Googled "baku baku clone" and someone mentioned Puzzle Fighter somewhere on the internet. I picked up a GBA copy and became obsessed with it. I've felt compelled in the years since to play any other versions I could get my hands on -- which is slightly silly as differences are mostly cosmetic. But man. I just love this game.

You have the DC port, noise?

Super Puzzle Fighter II pretty much got me into puzzle games back in my freshman year of high school. Once the GBA version came out, I grabbed that thing and proceeded to pour my time into the puzzle and VS mode. A couple weeks later, I had beaten it backwards forwards, and every other direction. My skills at the game have steadily deteriorated ever since.

I've been meaning to pop in my saturn copy for a while now. I know it doesn't have the puzzle mode, but did you find it generally more enjoyable on the Saturn? (I originally played the game on another person's PS1, but it's been too long for me to really remember what it was like.)

I've spent most of my time on the PS1 ver. I thought Baku Baku for the Saturn was just not as good for some reason. Probably cause there's no Street Fighter ...

1. Thomas Was Alone - PC
2. Sam & Max Save the World - The whole season - PC, GOG versions
3. Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space - The whole season - PC, GOG versions
4. Sam & Max The Devil's Playhouse - Episode 1 - PC, GOG version
5. Sam & Max The Devil's Playhouse - Episode 2 - PC, GOG version

This was really good. They took a really fresh approach to both the puzzle solving, the narrative, and the setting with this installment. A Sam & Max period piece, done Tarantino style with non linear storytelling. Awesome! The puzzles are rock solid this season. None of them feeling too obscure and the games are much better than previous seasons at cluing you in, and I'm playing the game with the hint setting set to zero hints.

Also, baby Amelia Earhart is one of the cutest, most charming characters I've ever seen, way more appealing and interesting than she was in episode 202. They overhauled her look and voice completely. She's adorable

I started playing the third episode of this season, and in the first few minutes of the game they've found a way to make things fresh again with a different style and different type of puzzle that had me laughing. This may be the best season, if it just weren't for those godamn mouse/keyboard controls. This really is a consolized Sam & Max
