Favorite VS game?

SVC Chaos... even with its shortcomings and problems, I have to admit is still a rather fun game to play. Hoping a sequel for this particular game will see the light of day.

Unlike most people, my first experience playing SMB was in the arcade. It's what made me want to buy an NES.

I think I like the original CVS best. I'm not not big on combo fighters. I prefer well-placed hits to long strings of them. That means I don't get along well with the VS games, despite loving the visuals.

I am surprised no one said Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. I loved that game so much that I used to keep my PS2 on for days to unlock the characters because I didn't have a memory card back then. Then a black out in NY happened and well I had to start over again .

I enjoyed both MVC 1 and MVC 3 but didn't like their small roster. I didn't even go for MVC 3 Ultimate because I thought it was a rip off to buy what I saw as the same game I already had with a few extra characters and a different way to glow red.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is my pick. I love the big, glorious mess of characters. No one seems to like the music, but I do. It fits the zaniness of the game so well.

X-Men Vs. Street Fighter (Saturn version, not that god awful PlayStation one) is mine. The graphics are super crisp, almost no load times, some stages morph between rounds...and I love me some infinite combos.

The first was so much better. But Ballistic had bots in multiplayer, and the movie tie in, so thats what people wanted to play.

Definitely Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Capcom vs. SNK 2! Two things these games have in common-HUGE roster and unlimited combo possibilities!
