Correct! From half of the SVC roster, to the game anouncer, right down to a more polished Gaurd Cancel Grand Step mechanic. Yet still one half of a full crossoverTheRev wrote:Neo Geo Battle Coliseum is basically SVC Chaos 2 without the C.CD AGES wrote: SVC Chaos... even with its shortcomings and problems, I have to admit is still a rather fun game to play. Vs. Super Mario Bros!!!
Unlike most people, my first experience playing SMB was in the arcade. It's what made me want to buy an NES.
I told all the kids at school there was an arcade version of SMB and no one believed me!

I think I like the original CVS best. I'm not not big on combo fighters. I prefer well-placed hits to long strings of them. That means I don't get along well with the VS games, despite loving the visuals.

I am surprised no one said Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. I loved that game so much that I used to keep my PS2 on for days to unlock the characters because I didn't have a memory card back then. Then a black out in NY happened and well I had to start over again
.
I enjoyed both MVC 1 and MVC 3 but didn't like their small roster. I didn't even go for MVC 3 Ultimate because I thought it was a rip off to buy what I saw as the same game I already had with a few extra characters and a different way to glow red.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is my pick. I love the big, glorious mess of characters. No one seems to like the music, but I do. It fits the zaniness of the game so well.
Re: Favorite VS game?
X-Men Vs. Street Fighter (Saturn version, not that god awful PlayStation one) is mine. The graphics are super crisp, almost no load times, some stages morph between rounds...and I love me some infinite combos.

The first was so much better. But Ballistic had bots in multiplayer, and the movie tie in, so thats what people wanted to play.BogusMeatFactory wrote:Oh man all y'alls are wrong. Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever for the GBA....BALLIN!!!!! ..
Re: Favorite VS game?
Definitely Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Capcom vs. SNK 2! Two things these games have in common-HUGE roster and unlimited combo possibilities!
