Ticked - Birthday was Friday, got pulled over for not having my headlights on. Payed a $95 ticket for it today.
Frown - Wife's grandpa had a heart attack, but he is doing better now.

See, as of Wednesday they're forecasting snow for my area. I'm scared, I don't have a jacket that heavy, and I will need to be outside all day, along with the large possibility of being wet...Jmustang1968 wrote:Weird, down here in Houston the high is in the mid 40sLuke wrote:Frown: It's already t-shirt weather. A high of 82 today to be exact.
Frown: Never had a Winter this year, and I love cold weather.
And someone else on here mentioned 69 degrees being shorts weather?

Heh I used to bike across the city in sub zero temperatures. It's just a matter of knowing how to dress yourself and layers. My usual dress code is wife beater, thin under shirt, T-shirt, long sleeve shirt, hoodie and a Carhartt jacket on top and then a pair of long underwear or thin sweat pants underneath my pants. Also a hat and gloves of course. Gloves are probably the most important since your fingers are going to be the first thing to get cold and fall off though...Forlorn Drifter wrote:You people are nuts!RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Sounds about right for Colorado!Forlorn Drifter wrote: And someone else on here mentioned 69 degrees being shorts weather?

I don't even understand how people complain about the cold here myself though. Most of the time I hear someone talk about it being cold they just got out of their warm car and walked in to a building. Seriously? I mean it's just stupid, "I was outside in the cold for less then sixty seconds and I'm complaining about it now that I'm in a warm place again hurr durr." People are just stupid here I guess.
Also I hate you so much right now, it's 10 degrees here and you're saying that 70 degrees isn't shorts weather
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
I had a similar conversation with my boss. We were at a late meeting and continuing a conversation from him, and he went to go to his office and asked if I was coming by as well (mine is close to his), but I was just going straight to my car. He was surprised I didn't even have a jacket. But I only use my jacket if I'm going to be outside for long periods at a time. In this case I'm moving from the building to the underground garage, into my heated car, into my house's attached garage, into my heated house. Or when I visit my aunt's for Thanksgiving, we go from parked in front of her house to inside. No need for a jacket for that short of a journey.

Well, I don't wear jackets at times when it will be short of use, like going to Ag classes at school or just going from the car to the house. But I just can't stand my legs being cold. I'm weird like that. I'm not big on shorts. I've gotten bigger on the idea, but I still only wear them during the summer, and generally not anytime I will be seen, seeing as I have the whitest legs on earth.

It's gone above freezing here during the day, and I'm kind of upset about that. I really hate it when it's around 31-45 degrees, because it feels significantly colder than it actually is.
Best winter weather is 10-25 degrees with snow: I can go outside in a long-sleeve shirt and jeans and be fine for a couple hours. 31-45 degrees and I feel like my bones are going to freeze and shatter from contact after about 15 minutes.

Frown: Big wigs coming to visit the office on Wednesday. Have to rock the jacket and tie.
Smile: My girlfriend's daughter really loves Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. She asked how long I would leave the Gamecube and Bongos at her house and I told her that she could borrow them until she got tired of the game. Her face lit up and she ran to the living room yelling that if that was the case, I'd never get it back.
Good thing I have four more.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
