Super Famicom Controllers on SNES?
I assume you can use SF controllers on a SNES, but I want to confirm before I spend the money. I've read both ways, so I'm hoping someone here knows for sure.

Yes, but be warned, they're very, very short cords.jinxmitchell wrote:I assume you can use SF controllers on a SNES, but I want to confirm before I spend the money. I've read both ways, so I'm hoping someone here knows for sure.

Cool. Thanks for the info. Sounds like I should invest in some extension cables as well.

Re: Super Famicom Controllers on SNES?
The Super Famicom controller looks cooler and I like how all the buttons are convex.
If you want to use a SFC controller as your primary controller, you could do what I did and cross the two.
Internally, a Super Famicom and SNES controller share the same identical pcb. If you have a SFC and SNES controller on hand, you can use a simple star head screwdriver to take them both apart and swap the boards. Afterwords, you'll have a Super Famicom controller with a 6 foot cord and and the unwanted SNES controller with the 3 foot cord.

I'd recommend the PAL controller instead. Longer cord without having to mess with swapping, or an extension's added weight.
Lum fan.
