You're not going to get much for a Gamecube but I would keep whichever one that has the component cable output. I think the silver ones tend to lack the port?
Aha! You were right - my interest in having more functionality that I will likely never use AND a box that will sit on a shelf > having a color I like. Thanks, problem solved!

Wow do I hate the new PS Store. It takes several times longer to load than the old one, and doesn't seem as easy to use.

The new search function is balls. I can't find anything anymore.

It wasn't - I am keeping the boxed indigo system with digital output and put the platinum one on my trade list

What would be cool is if someone modified a silver case so it could hold the insides of an indigo or black.

IIRC, the back piece that has all the av-outs is separate from the other two halves, so you could easily swap out the shells assuming you don't mind have a black/purple back on your silvery 'cube.

Yea I guess it's going to be sticking around. I read an article the other day that said after the redesign they had a double digit improvement in sales. All they really needed to do to the old store was make the icons bigger, shrink the banner ads that were on almost every page and maybe add some naked chicks or something.

Now it's a chore to figure out what you need to do to find the Ps1 titles.

S-Video modded my model 1 "High Definition Graphics" Genesis today using a cheap transistor and parts from an s-video extension cord, an old cable box, and an old motherboard. This is what happens when you don't have a Radioshack close by...

Going from snowy, wiggly, distorted RF to S-Video made a world of difference. I cannot recommend the modification enough. Everything looks so clear an colorful now! The picture was so bad before that the pipes in chemical plant zone looked solid blue to me. Turns out they sparkle.
Since this signature affects old posts, I'm leaving a message here in case anyone searches for my username. This account died in early 2013. I am no longer a fundamentalist.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.

It's beautiful isn't it? The detail revealed with s-video in some Genesis games is remarkable. That blurry composite/RF output really hide so much detail.

So, I'm pretty set on the 3DS. Not sure if I'll go for a standard or XL. I'm leaning towards the XL. Sure it's a bit more pricey, but, I have large hands and I've heard bad things about the ergonomics of the standard 3DS.
Older. Not wiser.
