First of all, no. Second of all, I can't see Kaylee nude on Homeland, but I can see Morena BaccarinMrPopo wrote:Kaylee was hotter.dsheinem wrote:This might be the first time I've ever agreed with you on something.BurningDoom wrote:

So cool. Like a '70s grindhouse speedball with some "Ren & Stimpy"-esque animation and a king's ransom in cartoon tits and gore.

Good, but I feel as though it didn't live up to what it seems to promise. Not bad, but there's better splatterpunk films out there.

So great, I can only be pissed off that sci-fi cinema today is all starbursts, CGI and muted colors. Take JJ Abrams' Star Trek. More starbursts than we can stand, CGI out the ass and what's with the colors on the uniforms? Medical uniforms no longer have that baby blue hue and shouldn't we wait until the TNG reboot for reds to go dark wine red?
The perfect companion to Forbidden World.

I have seasons 1-6 on DVD, and I think the best seasons were 1-3. They're all great (even when Donatello got a new voice), but the first few seasons had a lot more tongue in cheek humor.noiseredux wrote:Been watching Season 1 of the original cartoon.Luke wrote: TMNT
How is it? Does Emma get a lot of screen time?GANGSTER SQUAD
You get your fair share of Emma. The movie plays out like if QT remade THE UNTOUCHABLES. It boarders on being a parody of gangster movies, but from the trailers and even the movie posters, you are going to get exactly what you would expect. I was hoping the movie would end with "Who are we? We're the Gangster Squad" followed by a bunch of high fives, but nerp. Still, it's a fun romp.
I'm adding to a bridge here, but to add to the dozens of lies I was told in the past couple of days my "ol buddy" (that's what I'll call him) kept wanting to watch LINCOLN on his laptop. I told him: A) I won't watch a pirated movie. B) I've already watched it. C) Have no interest in seeing it again.
At around 1pm yesterday he would not shut up about wanting to watch it as he hadn't seen it. When my wife came home, he said he'd already seen it and that it was "The best movie of the year".
Now get this. He asked me "How is LINCOLN?" and I told him, "Great performances, but far from my favorite movie of 2012. Most of it plays like watching C-SPAN". And then hours later he tells my wife "Some think it's like watching C-SPAN, but I think by far it's the best movie in years".
This is "ol' buddy". You couldn't trust him if his tongue came certified.

I thought Don's voice was "wrong." And familiar. Keep meaning to look up who voiced him in S1.Luke wrote: I have seasons 1-6 on DVD, and I think the best seasons were 1-3. They're all great (even when Donatello got a new voice), but the first few seasons had a lot more tongue in cheek humor.
Nice. You get your fair share of Emma.
It does look really awesome to me, which is odd cuz I'm not a big fan of gangster movies. I wasn't sure if it was just the Jay-Z music in the trailer that was pumping me up. Probably an Emma/Hov combo. But it does look good. The movie plays out like if QT remade THE UNTOUCHABLES. Lots of dialogue, lots of action, lots of hamming it up. If it tried to take itself seriously, it would be more than terrible.noiseredux wrote:

I think you'll dig it as it has a bit of a Rami feel to it.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I saw a nice churro of a movie from back in the day.
decided to watch it during breakfast.

It brought back lots of memories.
Its an okay kids movie. Its got Ernest in it. Ostracized kids. Trying to look 80's cool too hard, Empowerment and over comming differences. And Sticking it to the man. As well as Goofball comedy.
Stuff thats in the recipes for all kid movies.
There is one scene with gun violence in it. I think PG movies now may or may not show the types of scenes from this 80's movie now.
I can also see one thing in this movie that reminds me of another slapstick character that we all know and praise.
Nathan Barnatt's antics and character reminded me of Ernest P Worell. Granted we've all seen at least one (ernest) of his movies in the past. And Nathan is an incarnation of that immature yet loveable goofball. But for a newer generation.
A decent kids movie with classic preachiness and 80's family values

Ichi The Killer

As mysoginistic and violent as it is... I still find myself laughing out loud with some of the stuff that happens. The tongue scene is a great example of this (I love that he hands it out while he's smiling
