Last night, my wife and I watched:
Jiro Dreams of Sushi (2011) - It was a fascinating documentary about arguably the world's best sushi restaurant and the dynamics between its 85-year-old founder and the son who will inherit it. The subject is fascinating, and it is worth watching for anyone who even remotely likes sushi. (Although...seeing how the world's best sushi is crafted and served will make it harder to eat the stuff they serve here in Charlotte...) I highly recommend it (and it is available for streaming on Netflix!).
What was the last movie you've seen?

You really should. While it was not the best documentary I have ever seen, it was much better than I expected. It is beautifully filmed and scores, and as a bonus, I also learned a lot about sushi.indecks wrote:Ive been meaning to check this one out.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Last night, my wife and I watched:

Added to my netflix queue, and I'm not even that big of fan of Sushi or documentaries.
I think the last movie I watched was Super 8. I think I even posted about it. Anyway, I thought it was great, although they seemed to be trying to mix the "scary" spielberg movies with the "happy" spielberg movies, and not quite managing. Still an 8.5/10 though.

Now that I watch Homeland, I recognize her. And she is hot. But I still maintain that she looks like Michael Cera in that picture.Jrecee wrote:

She looked much better with long hair, on Firefly. She played a high-class space hooker:Jrecee wrote:Now that I watch Homeland, I recognize her. And she is hot. But I still maintain that she looks like Michael Cera in that picture.Jrecee wrote:

Jiro Dreams of Sushi (2011)
One of my favorite films of 2012 2011 (I could have sworn it didn't have a theatrical release until 2012).
It provides life lessons without telling you them. It shows the love and compassion for a craft that some would think any Joe could accomplish. And most of all, the movie screams "Love". Love for family, love for food, and most important, a love for life. JIRO is incredible.
Lots to update:
TMNT
MADEA'S BIG HAPPY FAMILY (yup, again)
THE PHANTOM MENACE
THE CLONE WARS
MONSTER SQUAD
GANGSTER SQUAD
