Your upside-down rotation issue is likely fixable. This might not be possible with your stand, but it is worth a try. Undo and reattach the mounts 90degrees - so instead of default positioning being downward for horizontal play, it is sticking out to the LEFT. Think of default position being in TATE with the top of your monitor being on the left side... then when you rotate clockwise the monitor will un-tate

I don't know why, but I haven't been playing all that well this month. All that Dodonpachi burned me out a bit. I'll get back in the groove though, just need to start getting to stage 4 again.

Are most of you using sticks? I should give that a try.
I usually don't do well at all with joysticks when it comes to shoot-em-ups.
I do much better with control pads, specifically a Saturn pad.

I almost hate to admit this cuz I was a strict stick shmupper for so long... last month after playing DDP I found out that yeah. I'm kind of with you on the Saturn pad. So this month I've pretty much only been using my DC Ascii pad which has a similar feel to a Saturn pad.

I have that nice DC stick that everyone has, and use it for some shmups, but I can't use it on Shikigami at all. I am not a fan of the DC Pad, but I'm far more accurate with it. But, I'm more accurate with pads in general, I really only use the stick for games I already know I suck at

That looks pretty slick, I'll have to look into it! I was looking at those PS2 Saturn pads, but they are quite pricey now.
