Dude, I was just asking if it was a possibility that James pulled it himself.

Either way, I don't get the uproar. His videos are still up, why whine that they were pulled from youtube? It is a business after all. The guys complaining that they have to go to the cinnemassacre site sound a bit entitled.
Well the springboard media player is kinda crappy and loads slow. But yeah his videos are still around, so its far from the end of the world.

The whole account was pulled from youtube though, and the worry and uproar is that it sets a very bad precedence, especially if its an actual DMCA/copyright claim type thing. I mean if it's AVGN's videos getting pulled now just for having some old game clips or something, how do we know that something like Game Sack isn't next?

This sort of shit just makes me want to pirate even more, if a company doesn't give a shit about their fans I'm certainly not going to give a hoot about them.

Could they pull video game reviews as well? I imagine people like Mark Bussler of CGR are in danger of the corporation butthurt.

I could only hope that comes to fruition.

If you want to use content for a review, you already either have it or have to ask for permission. This isn't rocket science. You have professional reviewers who are professionals...and then you have guys like game sack. If they want to make a profit off of others people's work, you have to pony up. Otherwise it is intellectual theft.

Now I half ass review movies here all the time, but I don't add clips from the movie unless it's public domain. I think a lot of companies are collectively thinking "we don't our product related to these asshats, so let's pull the plug now rather than later". If it is in their rights, I would do the same thing.
