Anybody ever get a mohawk?
Just got one and I think it is alright. I still need to fix it a little. It is not one of those crazy spiked up ones it is just short and simple. Looks especially cool with aviators.

I've seen these a lot recently, especially on college-aged men. My wife refers to them as faux-mos. I have to admit I'm not a fan, but that's just because I've generally seen them on either frat boys or beefcake jocks. If you're neither than perhaps there is hope for the style after all.UBERTRON777 wrote:Just got one and I think it is alright. I still need to fix it a little. Well it most certainly is not a fauxhawk. It is straight up Mohican. I am not a frat boy or a jock (would they even be on this site?). The responses are pretty much 50/50, people either hate it or love it. Sadly, guys like it more than girls do.

Re: Anybody ever get a mohawk?
My buddy Will has a giant mohawk, it used to be pink... Adny cut off the pink one and framed it, it was huge.
I had two quasi-mohawks... not by choice either. Well technically not by choice. One was caused while I was a sleep and was the closest to a real mohawk I ever had... don't pass out around friends when they are hyper.
Another was just about a month ago. I went out with some friends with a pair of scissors in my pocket. I handed them out to my buddies downtown and let them cut a chunk of my hair off. It was really fun. Anyways this guy whom I'm not sure if he likes me or not, something I did to his cousin... anyways he went off on my hair and chopped it into a "no-hawk"... is that what you want to call it? You know where I have hair on the sides but one big wide strip gone down the middle.
A few people asked me why I was doing this. I just told them I was shaving my head the next day, so why not have fun with it before it's all gone.
them: "But you're gonna look like a fool all night!"
me: "Those who are my friends probably won't care if I look a fool, that's the fun of it."
them: "But what about everyone else?"
me: "What about them."
them: "You certainly aren't gonna meet any ladies looking like that."
me: ::looks at clothing choice and natural physique:: "Well I don't think God or I planned well for that already. Either way, is that why YOU come out to a bar? To get laid?"
To bad I didn't get a pic with the "no-hawk"

That was an awesome story. When I decided to get it, I completely forgot that school pictures are coming up in a matter of weeks. Looks like I'll have to shave it and look civilized or keep it and just look back and laugh.
Re: Anybody ever get a mohawk?
My youngest brother likes them, he's had them a couple of times. My dad tends to shave his head whenever he does it.
As for my middle brother, he had a friend get drunk and shave his head. It was a bit of a bad idea...didn't have eyebrows for a month after.

We gave my kid a mohawk when he was three and he loved it. I'm glad we did it then because the dress code rules in school are ridiculous.
It is now official that the forum has a guy who posts pics of his kid.

I don't care for the mild stuff, think it looks...lame. Saw a guy the other day driving an old convertible with a bright green spiky mohawk-if your gonna bother I say go that way. Seems all the jocks/little kids have the tame ones.
