On PSN, the original Rayman. Is this game as hard for me as it is for everyone else? Damn. Can't even seem to progress through Bongo Hills without trouble.

Got some more goodies arriving tomorrow. My Dreamcast is in for a treat...
Am I missing something here? I don't see any Dreamcast games.

BTW, Metroid: Prime is a fantastic experience. Enjoy that.
I think he's referring to his "goodies arriving tomorrow".
Correct. Apologies for not making that clear enough. I'll follow up later, once USPS has delivered.

Also, Metroid Prime is me buying something I played before, but never completed. Gamecube didn't get enough love from me. I'm surprised by how expensive the games are now. I've seen Super Mario Sunshine for over $30? Insanity.

GCN's cheap phase was surprisingly brief. It took hardly any time at all for the prices to creep back up.

Nintendo premium, perhaps?

Or maybe the 'cheap phase' of a console officially ends when Gamestop stops carrying games for it?

I'm thinking that the low sales figures of GCN games, plus the vast number of Wiis out there, plus the much greater popularity of retro-gaming compared to previous generations, plus the fact it's a Nintendo console, all combined to speed up the process.

Thankfully, I managed to get pretty much everything I wanted for Gamecube back when the games were cheap except for Wind Waker, Pikmin, and SSB Melee.

Word. I remember picking up Tales of Symphonia and Skies of Arcadia Legends a couple of years back for $14.99 each. Nowadays... yikes!

It's already happening to the Wii as well, better get what you can at GameStop before they're gone.

Here's a thought, maybe it's because a lot of the Wii and Gamecube fans are also retro gamers and collectors and were well aware of the "cheap period" and tried to all jump in at once.

I picked up a new copy of Ratchet: Deadlocked (PS2) for $5 from an antique mall today. I now need only two Ratchet & Clank Games (Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank) to complete my PS2 Ratchet & Clank collection...wish me luck!

January
Desert Falcon (2600; cart) - $2
Kung Fu Master (2600; cart) - $2
Mountain King (2600; cart) - $2
Spy Hunter (2600; cart) - $2
Xenophobe (2600; cart) - $2
Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection (3DS; CIB) - $10
Cake Mania: Baker's Challenge (PS2; CIB) - $4
Ratchet: Deadlocked (PS2; CIB) - $5
Rogue Galaxy (PS2; CIB) - $4

Games - 9; Cost - $33
Total Games - 9; Total Cost - $33
