I'm in the same boat as you. Not trying to be stubborn or anything, as I always attempt TR. But it's just a weird month for me and I can't seem to motivate myself on this one. The fact is I just spent a bunch of money on the holidays, got a bunch of games (that I'm interested in playing) for Christmas, and spent all my "mad money" on games I want to play... so although I've been following this thread in hopes of becoming motivated, I can't seem to justify the $10 download when I feel like I'll dick around for a half hour and lose interest to one of the many other games I just obtained. One of the best things about TR is it's always solved the "what do I play now" dilemma for me. The problem is I don't have the dilemma right now, as I have plenty of games I really want to play.

At this stage even a single level will make your characters much more potent, as each HP die is a major percentage of their current health.

Why waste 10 dollars for download when you can have physical copy of the game, it's expansion pack, Baldur's Gate 2 and the expansion pack for Baldur's gate 2 for 17 dollars? You can easily find the game used in box for less than 10 dollars from eBay.

The game+the expansion pack+instructions+map for 5 USD

New in box for 3.99 dollars
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

Well, I got to Chapter 4! I'm going to do some sidequesting and see if I can level up before trying to explore Cloakwood. I still haven't checked out Firewine Bridge...

There may even be a bunch of other unnamed locations to explore.

There are and I will... but they're a lower priority.

Some are near worthless, some have some great gear to find in them or a quest to finish.

Or awesome party members who show up in Baldur's Gate 2.

The only downside is her portrait in BG1 is simply TERRIBLE. BG2's portraits are much nicer overall.
