PS3/PS2 Component Cables

Post by o.pwuaioc »

So, I just bought some PS3 component cables that say they're compatible with PS2s. It doesn't seem to work on my PS2 slim, however. Anyone have an idea why not?

That's strange. I use sony brand PS3 component cables with my JP PS2, and it doesn't give me any trouble.

Does it not give you any picture at all, or are there any picture quirks? No browser screen at all?

Using composite cables, go into the video settings.

Could be that it's set up to output RGB and not a component signal.

Yup that option was no error. It's true PS2 supports RGB in the US.
