Overclocking DC

Post by spaceman »

I've seen the guide on this site and even if I could figure it out exactly, any idea if this also speeds up regular games or not? I don't know about you, but I'd rather not be speeding my way through a normal game if I could.
Thanks.

Sonic Adventure struck me as being quick enough as is. I've heard of people doing this to mess around with DivX and VCD discs. Doesn't sound worth it, considering the work and eventual damage you could cause to your Dreamcast. I love my Dreamcast. I don't want to hurt it.

It speeds everything up and while it does fix some slowdowns in games that have them, it can mess up any game that worked fine before overclocking. For example, music might become out of sync or the game could freeze. It's neat, but not very practical.
