In Icewind Dale I had two years logged by the end, with the vast majority being clocked before my party was level 6. The secret? I had no divine magic user until I dualled a level 6 fighter to cleric, so when I rested after a fight to recover it would take a month to get to full HP. In terms of play time it was about as long as I spent in BG1.

It isn't nearly that long. If you had simply started the game, with all the time you have spent deciding if you should be playing or not, you would be halfway through it.

I've been sucked in. I never gave this game much of a chance back in the day, but I'm now playing the Enhanced version and it's pretty sweet. Just got up to the first inn (after candlekeep). I can foresee myself playing this waaay past Together Retro. I'm going to save Castle Shikigami II for tomorrow.

I am getting stuck...my guys are dropping like flies for literally no reason. They have very good hitpoints now that they have gone up to level 3, but I'm fighting things I have faught before and am getting one hit...Something crazy is going on...gonna have to mix things up.

I haven't really spent any time deciding if I should play it. I haven't been in the mood to play this game. I have been in the mood to play a shmup. No decision.

And even if the game isn't really 50 hours, I somehow doubt I'd be halfway through it in the span of four days.

ExedExes wrote: No way I'm gonna beat this in a month, but I made a commitment, doubled down, paid the $9.99, and will remain true to TR's mission and just keep trying this. It was fairly nominated, people wanted it to be played, and I have to respect each TR pick. I guess I'm just used to beating TR games in a month like I constantly did last year.

he'll grow out of it. Exed is the 2010 Noise. He even has a big pile of GBA games.

(Plus Exed decided not to play SOTM for some reason).
