If you have a softmodded Wii, you can apply a patch to DKCR that allows you to play the game extremely comfortably with the Classic Controller. All the silly waggle-stuff is mapped to buttons. It's awesome.ZeroAX wrote:I'm not willing to debate about SonicG, but DKCR awesome? Really? I can look past that. Actually I'd say it gave speed running levels some really nice momentum. And it's not like there were that many modern, non indie/downloadable 2D platformers around back when DKCR was released.ZeroAX wrote:I'm not willing to debate about SonicG, but DKCR awesome? Really? I've always wanted a 3D Pokemon RPG
Catching Pokemon has to be more like hunting/sneaking around though. No just walking into grass.

I agree with this. I really dislike voice acting in most games because it is so bad. Scenes that might have some gravitas without voice acting are rendered laughable by it. If LoZ ever had voice acting, I hope that the characters would speak in complete jibberish like the characters in Ico and Shadow of the Collossus.MrPopo wrote:Or they realize that the voice acting wouldn't really add anything and would probably piss off half the fans by giving certain characters full voices.Gamerforlife wrote:The fact that we haven't seen this already shows you how lazy and complacent Nintendo is with this franchise. Yeah, seriously. Zelda doesn't need voice acting.

Yeah I would be worried about the voiceacting. there is something about reading it that includes your personal perception of voice. I can understand wanting Link to talk more to create some more personality for that particular Link, but to give him a audible voice could reeeaallly ruin the style. Also, the iconic grunts would have to go or match the voice actor and that would sound really strange.

How about an option to choose between voice acting and textboxes (or both)?

Nintendo didn't even bother with a leftly flip option in SS, I don't see them bothering to put in an option for voices/no voices.ZeroAX wrote:How about an option to choose between voice acting and textboxes (or both)?

Sure....just so long as the default setting is "off".ZeroAX wrote:How about an option to choose between voice acting and textboxes (or both)?
