Retro Christmas Commercials

Post by SirPsycho »

For my last project this year I decided to check out some old video game Christmas ads and try to put them in one place. I tried to keep my posts from really getting too long though so if anybody finds some more that I didn't post I would love to see them!

This was more of a comedy project for my analysis of the commercials, would love to know what everybody thinks so I can come back stronger for 2013.

The title screen from Super Mario World there say "Super Mario Bros 4". Very weird to know that it wasn't take out until after Sears commercials were made!

Yeah when I saw that it made me do a double take at first. They must have just got some stock footage from Nintendo's beta build to use as a placeholder and they didn't change it before the commercial aired.

Or maybe they left it in as a subliminal message since Super Mario Bros. was pretty much the biggest thing on the planet at that point.
