I'm kinda close on akai katana aswell,been playing climax mode and can make it to the next to last stage on my 1 credit,but get murdered in that stage...

Just got the 1cc on GG Aleste on a Game Gear emulator for my PSP.
Not exactly worth bragging about...it was the first time I'd played it.

Just got 693,418,203 with Rosa in DeathSmiles II X on 360. I played all stages as level 1, settings were default. The bullet patterns were so easy I could've dodged them with my eyes closed. I guess I could go back and try to beat it on level 2 or level 3. At least I can say I actually have a 1CC now!

Ha ha, I did this a few months ago. I was playing it on the Wii, and couldn't believe I 1cc'd it one try. So, I thought I'd give the company another chance and put on Gun Nac... and 1cc'd that on my first play as well. Compile really did know how to get everything about a game right but difficulty. Some of their games are way too easy.

I think my first true 1CC was Deathsmiles. I was so hooked on it that I eventually got the All Rank3+EX Stage 1CC. For me, Cave clears are reasonably doable compared to most 80's, and 90's shooters. Once I sorta "figured out" how they work, the skills could be applied to all of their games.
Konami, Capcom, Seibu, and Psikyo games still crush me.
